Welcome

TO CITY CHURCH
City Church has been in Wymondham since 2000. We believe God has planted us here as part of His plans for Wymondham and the surrounding area. Being part of the Church is much more than attending a Sunday morning service, it is a whole life experience. God has a plan for your life! We would love you to be a part of the exciting journey He is taking us on. We meet in Central Hall every Sunday at 10am and you are very welcome to join us.

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain

- Psalm 127:1

God has an amazing plan for Wymondham! He has given us the opportunity to be involved in that plan by showing His love and grace to the people we meet. We believe that one day Wymondham will be known as a place where God is doing amazing things, where people are accepted, transformed, healed and set free. Our priority is to build people into strong Godly men, women and children, full of His Holy Spirit. This will provide the foundation for what God wants to do. In 2010 we were given two separate identical prophecies that we would one day be a central resource centre for the town and the surrounding area. We see a building with a large auditorium, office space and meeting rooms providing a base for us to meet as a church and for community and outreach projects. The goal is not the building itself but that we and it would be a resource and a blessing to the town. As we keep our focus on Jesus and continue to seek Him, He will direct our path (Proverbs 3:6). By the end of 2015 we are hoping to see this vision become reality. There has been a lot of rain but the sunshine is coming. When it comes, I believe God is going to pour His blessing upon Wymondham and His Church. Now is the time to decide in your heart about Jesus and whether or not you want to be a part of the tidal wave of His love, mercy, grace, compassion and power that is surely coming. (June 2012)

we are in love Worship is at the heart of everything we do with God and we want to let him know!

Our style of worship here at CCW is relaxed and contemporary and we love to see everyone taking part. For those who are interested in music and being part of the worship team, we run workshops for children and young people a few times a year, and spend time with those who are progressing further to encourage and equip them. Dont be surprised if there are younger members of the band when you come along to church (but then wed love you to be involved whatever age you are!) However we are feeling or whatever has happened during the week, we believe that God deserves our whole lives and that He has given us the incredible gift of music so that, whether we want to shout and dance or whether we want to sit quietly, we can feel comfortable and free to be ourselves when we meet together.

Come and enjoy God with us as God enjoys our worship to Him.

Lifted is a weekly social and support group where mums with babies and toddlers under the age of 2 can come and chat over a cup of tea or coffee while their little ones play in a safe and friendly environment. With new babies there is always plenty to talk about and our mums are keen to swap stories and pick up tips and ideas from each other. Theres never a dull moment! Our volunteers are also ready, willing and able to offer support and a listening ear to anyone who would like a bit of extra help.

Lorraine Rooks
Lifted Co-Ordinator

Lifted meets on a Tuesday morning, during term-time, from 10am to 12 noon, in the Fairland Church Centre, NR18 0AW.

We provide a lively and exciting programme for those aged from 0 - 13. Through discussion, Bible study, group work, craft, art, drama, games and talks our aim is to help each child find their unique role in the Kingdom of God, to help them develop a personal relationship with Jesus. Our heart is to see each child become an active part of the Church as they mature. xCite is run by a dedicated team of teachers and helpers who introduce children to the stories, characters and themes in the Bible and the wider Christian faith. We use relevent teaching materials, designed to educate, challenge and shape your kids in Christ, while keeping it fun at the same. The children are helped and encouraged to develop their talents and are given opportunities to use them in the main service.

Synergy is for young people of secondary school age and is a joint venture with Wymondham Baptist Church (WBC). Synergy meets every Friday night 6.30pm, at WBC, for fun and games as well as Bible study and discussion times that are relevant to the lives of our young people. As the name suggests we believe that we are stronger together than apart. The synergy that is possible when a group of young people work together and help each other become all they can be in Christ is a force that can change the world. We greatly desire to see all our young people passionately following after Jesus. Synergy is entertaining but is also a time of equipping the young people for the adventures that God has planned for them.

Healing on the Streets (HOTS) was started by the Causeway Coast Vineyard in Coleraine, N. Ireland, in 2005. It involves putting up to 6 chairs out in the town centre and offering passers-by prayer for healing or any other need. HOTS began in Wymondham one Saturday in November 2010 - with snow on the ground! Since then, the HOTS team has been offering prayer in the town centre once a month. In the first year 88 different people were prayed for and many encouraging conversations took place with passers-by. Has anyone been healed? Certainly! Early in 2011 one local man came to City Church to testify that his painful back had been instantly healed when prayed for. In October one of our team members was instantly healed of a frozen shoulder. As we invite the Holy Spirit to come on each person, we see burdens lifted, tears shed, and often a simple peace that the matter has been left with a Heavenly Father who is good, and who desires that everyone should know His healing love through Jesus Christ. As we continue this ministry, we believe that the best is yet to come! HOTS training is ongoing, if you would like to be involved please contact Mike
