ONE STEP AT A TIME

It has been far too long since my last update, much of that is because I just now have found the time to sit down to write, so as I sit & write this know that it is with great joy that I do so. This year has been full to say the least. However amidst my busy schedule I have somehow found time to read more, an old pastime of mine. One book I read this year was the biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Before reading his bio I didnt know too much about him, I knew he was a Pastor, Author & Theologian but aside from that never had much of an interest. For some reason I was drawn to this book and read it earlier this year. While reading it, a deep desire rose up in me to read and study more and to stand up for the truth I know that God has deposited in me. Bonhoeffer once said, It is not necessary that we should discover new ideas in our meditation. It is sufcient, and far more important, if the Word, as we read and understand it, penetrates and dwells within us. This has become my hearts desire to see the Word of God seep in to the lives of those around me and dwell within us. I had the incredible privilege this Spring to staff YWAM Orlandos 2nd Bible Core Course and see 6 Orlando staff come in to a deeper knowledge and understanding of who our Creator God is. I am still unsure of the part the Lord would have me play in seeing the Bible taught and studied throughout his body but have slowly been walking through each door as He opens it. Please pray for me as I will spend a week at YWAM Montana with SBS leaders from all over the US & Canada for a week of training meetings geared to a strengthening of this program.

As I mentioned I had the privilege of stafng the Bible Core Course in Orlando while living in Seattle. I was able to be in Orlando at the start of the Spring Quarter - March/April for a few weeks and teach through Titus & Romans before returning home to teach the Gospel of Mark and continue walking with the students through their work as I graded their books and helped process all that they were learning more about my trip there on my blog, - http://lifewithlor.blogspot.com/2012/04/2weeks-3-miracles-and-5-extra.html It was a joy for me to be able to join again with my family in Orlando as they continue to pursue the Lord through his word.
SPRING & SUMMER POTPOURRI

nally arrived - I was ying to Taiwan to surprise my friends there :) En route to Taiwan I stopped in Kona at YWAMs University and was able to connect with old & new friends while taking time to rest & relax. I left Kona feeling refreshed and encouraged by how the Lord is working through our mission, but it was a surreal moment when I boarded the plane to Taiwan hardly believing the time had nally arrived. Taiwan is a place where I left part of my and where I was shaped in to the person I am today, so needless to say I was excited to get back. Many of my closest friends remain there and it was a gift to be able to visit. Since each trip was back to back it was only natural that I come home to MORE excitement - the parents - visiting from NS. It was wonderful to have them in the PNW for a few weeks and take time to spend together as a family and work through different challenges that have been arising in our lives. Upon their departure I would say we have become much closer as a family with a clear goal and purpose to know and support one another in a deeper and more impacting way. Throughout this entire season I have been blown away by Gods love and goodness to me as He continues to pour out his blessings on my life.

Upcoming Events:: * July 28-31 in Kelowna, BC visiting my friend Brandi * July 31-Aug 4th Nelson, BC - Awaken Gathering * August 4th-August 11th Lakeside, MT for SBS meetings and training Prayer Requests:: * For my family that we would continue to seek Gods purposes for us * for safe travels as I will be away from home for the Awaken Gathering & SBS meetings that God would speak with clarity & directions * that God would provide a vehicle for me

As I stated earlier I had quite the busy quarter. It started with me in Orlando teaching then returning to Seattle only to take off again with Y Publishing to Ohio for a homeschool conference. I was blown away by testimony after testimony of how YWAMs books are impacting the lives of young and old all around the world, awakening them to do something meaningful with their lives.
