Presidential Project : Launched the 10,000 luminous school bag project with the cooperation of the Ministry of Education, State Education Departments, Nationwide Express and 25 Rotary Clubs. These bags were distributed by Nationwide Express to the Rotary Clubs around the Country who in turn distributed to the rural primary school students. (Value of project RM 500,000/-) Due to overwhelming request a further 10,000 bags were made. Held Dama Orchestra Charity Concert to raise funds and this netted RM318,000. Held English Literacy Campaign to target underprivileged children in the country to improve their literacy with English. JV with Inner wheel Club of Kuala Lumpur and RC Makati, Philippines. International Projects : Established Sister Club agreement with RC of Phuket. Held Inaugural Sister Club Fellowship Golf Challenge with RC of Raffles City, Singapore Matching grant with

RC Taipei Southgate to provide a Wheelchair Lift Van for handicapped RC of Deli Medan and Taipei Southgate to provide an ambulance for the Tsunami affected area. Community Service :Scholarship worth RM50,000 was awarded to 250 secondary/primary school children from lower income families in Daerah Kuala Selangor and Daerah Bukit Bernam. The project, cosponsored by Siemens Malaysia, successfully concluded during Rotary year 2008 / 09 Community Service: (a)The Malaysian Golf Carnival, held at several locations in the Peninsula by its energetic Director, Rtn Raymond Chin, raised RM116,000 which was distributed to eleven charity organisations ranging from orphanages to haemodialysis centres. The wide publicity generated earned the Club a PR grant from Rotary International ~ a first in our District.(b)A Merdeka Party for 100 orphans was held with Sheraton Subang Hotel & Towers (c) Supported by MST Ad Suria, the Club held an outing for 73 orphans at the 'Eye on Malaysia' ferris wheel. (d)Donated RM 34,000 to the District Disaster Relief Fund for victims of the Typhoon Nargis disaster.Vocational Service: Service Awards handed out to Kuala Lumpur traffic policemen and nurses. The International Service : (a) Assisted in a 'clean drinking water' project at a school in Thailand with RC Hatyai

7 Dr Lee Hock Bee 2004 / 05 Community Service: (a) Donated (i) RM 5,000 to Agathian Home (ii) RM 3,000 to Daybreak Centre (iii) RM 10,000 worth of beds and wheelchairs to Wisma Harapan, Kuala Kubu Baru.(iv)10 Dialysis machines to Pusat Dialisis Tuanku Syed Putra. Raised RM 500,000 for this project.(v) 8 computers for school children of Kampung Sg. Lui (vi) RM 18,000 for flood victims in Bangladesh (vii) RM 50,000 and 30 wheelchairs for victims of tsunami in Aceh, Sri Lanka and Malaysia (viii) Scholarships worth RM 50,000 (HSBC Bank as Major sponsor) to primary school children from 8 schools in the Klang valley.(b) Launched the District Literacy Read & Write Campaign at Kampung Sg Lui (c).Organised Charity Golf at the Mines Resort Golf Club graced by His Majesty Yang Di Pertuan Agong. (d) A RM30,000 project sponsored by Siemens Malaysia for a Health Screening programme for over 600 residents of Kampung Sg. Lui (e) Organised a Health Screening programme for the orang asli at Janda Baik Orang Asli settlement. Donated medicine, food supplements and provisions. Vocational Service : (a)Excellent Vocational Service Award to Michael Chong of MCA Complaints Board and 5 teacher advisors to the 5 Interact clubs (b) Provided key making machine to pot-polio member of Persatuan Cacat. (c) Scholarship of RM 9,000 to a member of the Ozanam Home to complete her Hotel Management course (d) Rtn Willie Tham and friends raised over RM 70,000 for a medical student to complete his final year medical degree (e)Donated RM 5,000 to RACTAR, a residential and training home for orphanage girls ==================================================== . .

8 A. Kanesalingam 2003 / 04 Hosted the 69th District Conference. New Generations: Organised a 3-day festival of music at the City Hall Auditorium as a RotaryCentennial Project approved by Rotary International to promote traditional instrumental music. 160 boys and girls between 10 and 23 years old took part. The winning teams in each of the Malay, Chinese, Indian and Sabah / Sarawak sections received cash prizes and subsequently performed in a community service concert in Singapore hosted by the Rotary Club of Singapore. US$ 7,500 net proceeds was sent to RI for the PolioPlus project. This project won the District Award for Best Project in the service to New Generations. Community Service : (a) RM 32,000 worth of Food parcels for flood victims in Baling, Kedah (b) RM 11,500 to earthquake victims in Bam, Iran. (c) A joint project with the Rotary Club of Greentown, Ipoh to treat 16 poor persons with eye problems. (d) Donated (i) a van ( RM 40,000) to PERKOBP to assist youths with learning difficulties (ii) Essential equipment worth RM 3,000 each to 5 handicapped welfare homes.(e) A feeding programme for 20 poor 7-years old children for 4 months at the Sekolah Rendah Tamil in Sentul to enable them to attend Science & Maths classes in the afternoon. (f) Scholarships worth RM 18,000 for 90 primary school children from 5 low income areas. Club Service : (a) Revamped and revitalised the Club website which earned the Best Website District Award. Finance: Transferred RM2,051,481 previously collectedand interest thereon to Magnum Rotary Trust Corporation to set up home for abandoned children ==============================================

9 Keow Hock Sneah 2002 / 03 Community Service: (a) Sponosr-a-Wheelchair a joint project with The Inner Wheel Club and Wheelchair Foundation of USA received RM 960,000 sponsorship for purchase of 1,200 Wheelchairs of which 600 was distributed (b) Distributed 10,000 packets of skimmed milk ( from Ban Guan Brothers Sdn Bhd) to hard-core poor, sickly and handicapped adults (c) Received RI Charter for Rotary Community Corps (RCC), Sg. Lui and donated 7 sets of PCs. (d) Funfilled New Year Carnival at Bukit Kiara grounds jointly organised with Royal Selangor Club for 1,600 underprivileged and special children from several homes. (e) Organised with Tun Hussein Onn Eye Hospital the first Avoidable Blindness Conference of Asia with 200 participants from Malaysia, Singapore and India. (f) Contributed US$ 3,000 tree planting and US$ 8,000 tuberculosis eradication matching grant project with Rotary Club of Makati. 12 Frank Lim Hook Hing 1999/2000 The year was started with establishing several funds: the Sylia Hyams Fund (RM70,970.00), the justin prem Hamilton Medical Fund (RM85,760.00); the Student Welfare fund 2000 (RM125,000.00) and the National Stoke Association of Malaysia Phytotherapy Clinic (RM50,000.00) Several Memoranda of Understandings were signed : (a)RCKL-HELP Institute "Partnership-In-Service" worth RM60,000.00 - a revolving fund to assist student complete their tertiary education.(b) For the first time RCKL Di Raja signed an MOU with a Government body i.e with Datuk Bandar at the launch of Preserve Planet Earth - KL City project, whereby parties had agreed to promote the principles of good governance and good citizenship and to take an acitve interest in the environmental awareness, preservation of the environment, civic, cultural, social and moral welfare of the community for the next two years.(c) a Joint Project with RC Hatyai Nakarin an MOU to provide clean drinking water to some 1000 villagers in Thailand.(d) The largest project undertaken by the club in a joint venture with corporate giant to establish the Magnum Rotary Home for Abandoned Children (RM3 million). The CEO of Magnum Dato' Lim Kim Wah gave the initial sum of one million to the Club on April 19,2000. 13 S.Kulasegaran 1998/99 Established the Philips Rotary Kindergarten in Senggang, Kuala Kangsar for poor children.
