    INFLIGHTCHECKLIST
    PRIORTORVSMAIRSPACEENTRY Should any of the required equipment fail prior entering the RVSM airspace, thecrewmustrequestnewclearance,toavoidflightinthisairspace.Thetwo primary altitude indications (PFD indication from the onside ADR or ADR 3) shouldbeinaccordancewithTable1. If only two ADRs are operative the altimeter indications on the PFD and standbyaltimetersshouldberecorded.Thisinformationmaybeusefulincase ofsubsequentPFDaltitudediscrepancy,orthelossofbothremainingADRs. WITHINRVSMAIRSPACE AutopilotshouldbeengagedwithinRVSMairspaceforcruiseandflightlevel changes. Duringclearedtransitionsbetweenflightlevels,theaircraftshouldnotover shootorundershoottheclearedflightlevelsbymorethan150ft. Every approximately 1 hr, check that PFD altimeter indications agree in accordancewithTable1. Usethetransponderandtheautopilot,associatedwithoneoftheADRwhich iswithintolerance. POSTFLIGHT Reportanymalfunctionintheheightkeepingsystemsincluding: Malfunctionorlossofanyrequiredequipment. AltimeterreadingsoutsidetolerancesspecifiedinTable1. Note: Providesufficientdetailstoenablemaintenancetotroubleshootand repairthesystem. ABNORMALANDEMERGENCYPROCEDURES WheninRVSMairspace,thefollowingcontingencieswhichaffecttheabilityto maintaintheclearedflightlevelwillbenotifiedtoATC: Failureofbothautopilots. Loss of altimeter system redundancy (only one PFD indication remaining), orexcessivealtimeterdiscrepancy(Table1). Failureofanyotherrelevantequipment. Encounteringgreaterthanmoderateturbulence. Notes: Theflightcrewcanobtainthecontingencyproceduresforflyingin MinimumNavigationPerformanceSpecification(MNPS)airspaceby referringtospecificmanuals(i.e.theNorthAtlanticMNPSManual). IfunabletonotifyATCandobtainATCclearancepriortodeviating fromtheassignedclearedflightlevel,thecrewshouldfollowthe establishedcontingencyprocedureandobtainATCclearanceassoon aspossible.
