Dear Sir/ Madam, Greetings from Gujarat Technological University. Gujarat Technological University (GTU) was established by Government of Gujarat vide Gujarat Act No20/ 2007. About 500 Colleges, spread out all over Gujarat, are affiliated to GTU. The University, jointly with the Colleges, imparts education up to doctoral studies in the five fields of engineering, pharmacy , management, computer science and architecture. GTU has more than 500 doctorate faculty members and hundreds of doctoral students with specialization in all the different areas of the five ields. GTU-Research & Consultancy Services Cell (GTU-RCSC) has been established , in the year 2012, to use this excellent available pool of human capital, to cater to the needs of organizations in the government, public, cooperative or private sector. No other Consultancy organization has as large a pool competence as GTURCSC has. Moreover GTU has more than 39,000 post-graduate students, besides about 350,000 under-graduate students. The studies and research by the post-graduate students and faculty members keeps them at the frontiers of mankinds available knowledge. GTU-RCSC can offer research and consultancy services in all the different areas of engineering, pharmacy, architecture, computer science, finance, human resource and marketing, including the following: Urban Planning, EIA/SIA, Water supply & sewerage, Capacity building, project report, Strategic planning Reports, Market Survey, Financial Analysis The information regarding GTU and the available expertise is enclosed as annexure to this letter. 7. GTU INNOVATION COUNCIL

GTU Innovation Council has linked its more than 500 affiliated college/ institutions polytechnics w ith 166 industry cluster across Gujarat to facilitate close interaction betw een the industries students and faculties. The idea is to create platform w here industries can pose real life problems to be solved by students as a part of the academic program.
50,010 students have participated in the program w ith 7,000 M SM E units, a remarkable achievement by any standard.

Stat e Governments of Punjab and M adhya Pradesh visited GTU and now are planning to adopt similar lines. In fact Norw egian University of Science & Technology has liked the attempt and
has decided to use it in Norw ay for creating environment for innovation.

The total patents applied for is more than 700 as outcome of this innovative joint efforts betw een industry and academia.
