Since I pay no attention to ABC TV or radio I dont know much about Jake Tapper but someone did a soundbite of his question to the president yesterday. Too bad he is going to CNN which is about equal in quality as the rest of the networks, but if he has intergrity, I wish him well. I just will not be one of the listeners or watchers. If I want interesting and relatively truthful news I go to the internet and to foreign news sources.

I love Jake Tapper, and Im glad hes leaving ABC, but I wish he was going to Fox instead of CNN. OTOH, maybe he will be able to bring back actual reporting to that channel, which has functioned just an Obama campaign unit for the last 4 or 5 years.

I have many friends in the conservative media inDC. Almost to a person they have emailed me today that Tapper was the only fair-minded non-knee jerk leftist at ABC. All believe that his hire was only the beginning of Zuckers moves to pull CNN a bit closer to center because he knows that Fox is where the core audience lies. Jake Tapper was the ONLY honest reporter left at ABC. The ONLY one that would ask tough questions. It is because he was so insolent as to ask a tough question of obama and 24 hours later, he is gone. Flashback 2009- President Obama has turned to his own vice president to oversee implementation of economic stimulus package Vice President Biden, in charge of making sure that the $787 billion economic stimulus package gets spent fast and spent well, last week gave mayors the wrong name for the website designed to track the money. Today he forgot the name entirely: REPORTER: By the way, do you know the website? BIDEN: You know, I am embarrassed. You know the website number? You know, I should have it in front of me, and I dont. Im actually embarrassed. Everyone in the room knew this was ridiculous, and when biden does get around to testifying on his gun committee findings, he will probably faint due to stomach virus, get a concussion and postpone for a year. Jake Tapper has more journalistic credibility than all the rest of ABC news, the whole lot of them. The ABC to CNN transition demonstrates that ABC cares more about being Obama flacks than journalism or ratings, and that CNN has launched a strategy for success based on credible journalism.

STOP banging on ABC!!! They let Jake do his noble thing for years!!! By that alone they were the fairest of the three networks. No, not fair. But more fair than ABC and CBS. They even let Jake do Meet the Press on numerous occasions. The only mistake ABC made was not giving him the job full time. Jake likely LEFT TO GO TO CNN FOR HIS OWN SHOW!!! ABC didnt fire him! Or scold him! Or punish him. Jake moved on for a shot at his own television show. ABC gave a gracious mention to Jake above. Lighten the heck up! Yes, the MSM is woefully myopic and collectivist. Their groupthink borders on pathological. But ABC and Jake did each other right! Good luck to Jake and a bit less gravitas at ABC.

Jake Tapper was the only person brave enough to ask the tough and relevant questions. He was the only unbiased reporter at ABC, a couple others fain effort, but they are evidently muzzled or personally conflicted and no where near as good. ABC has seen the last of my viewing for news.

Jake couldnt take the obscene bias at ABC, so he jumped to an even more dysfunctional newsorgan, CNN. He jumped off the cliff. But at least hes more honest than Ann Compton or the other hack liberals at ABC.

Wow. Jake Tapper has been one of the very few real journalists in the media and I like him a lot. ABC is ridiculous with the unrelenting bias of George Stephanopolous, Amy Walter, Jon Karl, et al. While they arent as bad as NBC, ABC is a wreck. The letter announcing the moves didnt even list Tappers last name! If anyone can reverse course at CNN, Jake is it. Lets hope he brings a reinvigorated passion for truth to a journalism corps that needs integrity and leadership.

Jakes been literally the ONLY WH correspondent whos been willing to give the O-bots a hard time when they deserve it. Methinks Jay Carney or some other West Wing creature called ABC and demanded that they work out some means of getting Jake out of the WH press pool. And Zucker (a hard lefty whos probably going to push CNN even farther left than MSDNC) was likely more than willing to do whatever he could to assist our Dear Leader.

Jake apparently was too moderate for ABC. He should have gotten the This Week job many months ago. Instead they went for Christianne big mistake. When will the big three learn how important it is to have a fair minded moderate in a key role never? I will watch Jake wherever he goes.
