TransWin Version 3.3 Marketing Release Notice

Introduction
This notice updates the TransWin program from version 3.1 to version 3.3. TransWin 3.3 is a product of continuing development from Doble Engineering, as well as valued input of our customers.

Whats New in TransWin Version 3.3

TransWin 3.3 includes the following new features: Eight additional logic inputs and outputs with the F6816 option Windows 7 operating system support Power System Model (PSM) has been added and integrated with SSIMUL Formula support Added localization support for French, Spanish, and Portuguese PL4 support IEC 61850 GSE inputs and outputs Added predicted actual waveform plots when F6150 is run without the Analog Input Measurement (AIM) feature

How to get TransWin 3.3

TransWin 3.3 is available on Dobles website (www.doble.com) for registered users with either a Relay Test Software Maintenance Contract or Doble Services Agreement (DSA). TransWin 3.3 is also included in the Doble F6000 Utilities CD, version 4.28.

System Hardware and Software Requirements

TransWin3.3 requires the following hardware and software: Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7, or 2000 operating system. A personal computer that meets minimum requirements for supported Windows operating systems listed above. 1 GB of RAM or more is recommended. A 1024-by-768 VGA monitor, 256 colors is the minimum display recommended. A pointing device such as a mouse compatible with Windows. At least 100 MB of free disk space or 20% of the hard disk capacity, which ever is greater. Windows operating systems perform better when this latter condition is met.

CD-ROM Drive (unless the program is downloaded directly from the Doble Engineering web site). An available Serial Port in the PC or UBS port, 10Base2 Network card with BNC Connector (F6150 CPU1), or 10BaseT (or 10/100) Network card with RJ45 Connector (F6150 CPU2). Serial cable, Ethernet RG58 BNC cable with 50 Ohm terminators (F6150 CPU1 only), Ethernet Cat5 cable (F6150 CPU2 only). An Ethernet Cat5 crossover cable will be required for F6150 CPU2 instruments with single RJ45 interface on front panel. The F6150 or F6150A firmware should be 2.23 or newer for CPU1 and 4.27 or newer for CPU2 instruments. AIM (Analog Input Measurement) board has to be installed in F6150 if recording is desired.

Limitations
Transition delay edit box won't accept default values after editing. Remove assigned trigger (select None from the drop-down menu) and reassign trigger to get zero transition delay.

Installation
If you have a CD, insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive. On Windows task bar, select Start Run. If D: is the CD-ROM drive letter, type D:\Transwin 3.3\Setup.exe. Or use the Browse button to locate the setup.exe file. Press Enter or click OK. This will launch TransWin 3.3 Installation Wizard. Follow the instructions. You may also download TransWin 3.3 from Doble website or ftp site and run setup.exe.
