What is your network topology? Why? Ans: I have used star network topology because it is the easiest topology to set for a home network. Most importantly I have a laptop, a desktop and a printer connected it allows me to share information and print from within the network. I also have better control and can monitor internet and other uses. What kind of cabling are you using? Why? Ans: I use Cat-5 cable for networking because it is cheap and very effective for home internet usage. Draw a diagram for your home network. Ans: Below a diagram for my home network has been drawn-

What is the bandwidth given to you from your ISP? Ans: I get up to 512 kbps from my ISP. What is the cost of the service from your ISP? Ans: It cost 1600+15% VAT= 1840 taka per month. What is/are the name of your network operating systems on the server? Ans: I use Windows 2007 server in my desktop. What is/are the name of your client operating systems on client computers? Ans: Windows 7 Home premium. You should have at least one printer in your network. Is/are the printer/s directly connected to the network or not? Why you chose to setup the printer this way in your home network? Explain. Ans: The printer is connected to my switch via printer server. This allow printer to be shared over the network and easily accessible to the other device of the network.

What type of application/s installed in your network server/s and client computer/s? Ans: Microsoft Office for office and personal use and Internet explorer to browse the internet.
