SIMON, Skybridges fully integrated, online installation and maintenance management system streamlines the interaction amongst stakeholders, as well as providing the overarching management control over all activities including quality and OHS compliance management. SIMON is unique in the terrestrial and satellite network installation and maintenance services market. SIMON provides secure access via an online portal or Smartphone and enables real time collaboration and transparency between Skybridge, its clients, technicians and end users. SkyPortal, our mobile Smartphonebased app is utilised by our technicians to report all job completion details such as OHS Site Safety Analysis , photographic evidence, job outcome details and internet connectivity test results. All data collected is then seamlessly uploaded to SIMON at the completion of each job.

SIMON provides stakeholders with complete visibility and control over all aspects of a program. From up-to-date and accurate reporting to job creation and maintenance, SIMON ensures all requirements are met in the one convenient location.
Projects are designed by Skybridge and then incorporated into the SIMON system. All data captured is maintained in SIMON and can be extracted quickly and easily by Skybridge or our clients (including our clients authorised stakeholders) for the purpose of realtime reporting, quality verification and progress audits. Once the customer journey has been established, the SIMON system is configured to suit the particular needs of the program. This includes the scheduling of required telephone calls and other forms of contact with customers. A detailed history log in SIMON allows all stakeholders to monitor a job from entry through to completion. All entries are date and timestamped and record the name of the staff member responsible for completing the task. The task completed is identified clearly so that all users have full view of the items actioned.

The Skybridge software development team launched a handheld version of SIMON, SkyPortal, in 2010. Through SkyPortal, data is captured electronically from site, avoiding the need for double keying of job sheet information into SIMON and virtually eliminating the possibility of error. SkyPortal has been a huge success and it is now used by the majority of our active technicians. The main benefit to technicians is that it eliminates timeconsuming after hours administrative tasks, but it also means that technicians do not need to carry paperwork. The real time data exchange allows our technician support team to address issues very quickly. Since SkyPortal was introduced in 2010, we have continued to implement new and improved features based on feedback we have received from our clients and technicians. The latest upgrades include: A serial barcode scanning system saves time for our technician and eliminates errors when recording serial numbers used in each job Greater use of LockStep technology. LockStep is a mechanism to validate inputs from users, for example ensuring that signal levels entered are within a realistic range

An OHS module including with safety instructions based on the job outcome (for example, the system advises that a harness is required if it determines that the technician will need to work at heights greater than 2m); vehicle inspection surveys; and capturing of data during live OHS/QA inspections A new Site Safety Assessment system, which requires technicians to complete a step by step analysis of a jobs safety, including hazard controls utilised, before a job can be commenced.

SkyPortal provides a higher level of data accuracy for the following reasons: There is only one point of data entry. There is a series of rules in place on the device to ensure the technician inputs accurate information. There are no issues of handwriting interpretation.
