The featured design is presented by Norm Egolf. You can find his website here: Arizona Experimental Propulsion

Maximum Values: Maximum Altitude = 3675,18 m Maximum Velocity = 372,85 m/s Maximum Acceleration = 116,06 m/s Rocket configuration: Model rocket stage count: 1 Stage 1: 1 * Aerotech M1315W (5644,80 g) Download link: norm_level3.roc

Here is a picture of the test rocket, designed in SpaceCAD, that flew on the booster motor for the Elf Magic project. This was a Sorbitol/KNO3 motor that is predicted to be a M-4500. Yes...it's a sugar motor. My hand is about where the top of the motor is. The motor is 75mm in diameter and 55.7 inches long. It has flown 3 times and recovered perfectly 3 times. It will be my level-3 rocket. The part of the file that says "foam" is the 2-part expanding polyurethane foam used to hold the fins in and strengthen the booster air frame.

Description: This was my very first go at rocketry, I call it the Plastic Fantastic (PF), mainly because it is made using everyday house hold materials. Nose= Polystyrene, Body tube= Plastic Pipe, Fins/Motor Mount= Plywood, Parachute= Plastic bag!. It flys like a bat out of hell on the Aerotech E-28 and will easily reach 1500ft.If you want something cheap and easy to build with good performance then this is the rocket for you!

Maximum Values: Maximum Altitude = 245,19 m Maximum Velocity = 81,20 m/s Maximum Acceleration = 266,72 m/s

Designed by kenneth benjaminsson

Description: The Rockit, was made of some left over parts from a Apogee Aspire rocket, that cato:ed during thrustphase on a G80. (i.e it didnt hold up to the thrust and "exploded" into pieces. However we found the nosecone and a small part of the bodytube. It laid around in my apartment for a while, until I figured out if I could make a rocket of the parts. And I could! =) So here it is, the Rockit. It can fly on B-C motors, Rocket configuration: however you can try it on a Aerotech 18mm E motor Model rocket stage count: 1 too.(reinforce the fins with epoxy). Parachute came from Estes Fatboy, centering rings are made Stage 1: 1 * Estes C5 (24,80 g) from rolled paper, to make the motortube fit into the 29mm body. The rocket flys great, and mine even rotated during flight, making the fligt straight as an arrow!!. Some notes: The parachute can be Download link: rockit.roc replaced by a streamer if you wish. Good luck building and flying it!! 19.01.2004

Description: Rocket designed for R.A.T.T Works hybrids. I have used a H70 but the design will accomodate a I80 quite happily. Note: The two tubes seperated by a coupler do not actually seperate, the coupler is simply there because the Public Missiles phenolic tube does not come in long enough lengths. Everything is a representation of a real component you can buy except the ejection system. The materials database did not come with the correct material for the real nosecone so I just chose a material and increased its thinkness until it was the correct weight. You can buy the parts featured in this rocket from here.

The third is a launch on a Pro38 I350 Smokey Sam (19_19.jpg). I really like the Pro38 they zip off the pad in a hurry plus it flew allot higher, around 3000' on that motor. I know I had to walk a lot further to retrieve it.

My big rocket flew yesterday, the 28th, IT WAS AWESOME!. The rocket soared to 8,929 feet above ground level and went Mach .92. Well we were hoping it would go transonic due to the temperature but it really kicked butt on the way up. The rocket was dual deployment(drogueless).

Well apparently the 2,500lbs kevlar shock cord had a flaw in it and the payload section and booster parted company. The booster came in ballistic and the payload section came in ballistic until the main charge fired at 1,500 ft. The booster was damaged severely(I think I can repair it) but I will build another in case. The payload section suffered a small zipper from the high speed deployment of the 2 main chutes. Lots of pictures were taken as about 200 people showed up to see it go. I thought maybe the club had run an advertisement and thats why so many people were there this month. I commented on the turnout of people and got told by the club president..."You don't know?...They came to see your monster rocket go!"

More pictures of the launch can be found here.

Ryan Hatch's SYP Design Studies Created by: Pablo Zitelli, Argentina Rocket Description: Greetings from Argentina with these 5 rocket designs. Download: Atlas.roc Proteus.roc

Ryan Hatch's SYP Design Studies Created by: Kel Jackson Rocket Description: Freedom This is a rocket that i have built, and through perachute testing i discovered that the original fin design was prone to breakage in hard landings. It has been adjusted accordingly. This rockets extremely low altitude of 660 feet on an E engine makes for very realistic launches! Missile I call this a missile because of how high it goes! I wouldnt trust the calculations of space cad to thie extent, but, if they are correct, then expect out of sight flights that reach apogee of more than 60,000 feet! (11.3 miles, wow). Teacher Hunter This is a rocket that I shot off once, but my teacher wouldn't let me put in anything bigger than a B engine. It got off the pad and flew horizontally towards him. Forutnately he got out of the way. but now I know never to settle for anything less than a C engine in it. If you build one of these rockets, then tell me via email at Kelmanrc@aol.com and let me know how it flies, how fast it comes down, and of course if your precious payload survives! Creator's comment:The Sakobar is the name of an ancient Samurai that could destroy walls by simply looking at them... well, not really. It's just a cool rocket that flies pretty high. Have fun building the Sakobar!
