4.1 Introduction

Design File

Design file is a facility in Minescape used to store data in the form of graphics. In Minescape there are two types of design files, namely: 2D design files, which allows to enter and manipulate data in koordinay X and Y only. Design a 3D file that allows to enter and manipulate data in the coordinates X, Y and Z. Design files consist of layers that are used to store graphical data. Layers can you make when entering data or in the CAD.The maximum number of layers that can be made in a single layer design file is 1000.

4.2

Creating a Design File

At the time of making the project has actually Minescape automatically create two design files are design files Blocks andSurface . If you want to create a new design file using the following menu: MINESCAPE EXPLORER FOLDER CREATE DESIGN FILES A form will be displayed and complete as follows:

Design Files: Name . Name of design files to be created (tutorial).

Spatial Orientation : Origin Easting, Northing and Elevation . Coordinates for the Easting and Northing origin and the origin of elevation. Dimension . The dimensions of the design file is 2D or 3D. Quadrant . Added value of X to the right and Y values upward. Either there are two, namely the NE and SE. Units: Internal units . Units are used. The options are meters, centimetres, milimetres and so on.

Select OK or Apply .

4.3

Entering Data into the Design File

A variety of data formats can be incorporated into the design file. The data that could be included can be: Derived from software other than Minescape DXF format. AS2482 (Australian Standard for interchange and digital mapping) MOSS-Genio Surface (program survey / mine planning). MICROLYNK (survey and mine planning programs using a PC). Features, common formats including data entry format with X, Y, Z. Miner2 Derived from Minescape From a model, mine block, triangle, dot drill and survey data. Graphical output of the model such as plot files Mincom. Digitize using CAD. Depiction through CAD. An MPL program created by the user.

To enter data into design file using the following menu: MINESCAPE EXPLORER FOLDER DESIGN IMPORT FILES Or MINESCAPE EXPLORER FOLDER DATA IMPORT Enter data dxf (topodig.dxf) into the design file. A form will be displayed and complete as follows:

Input: Output:

DXF file . The name of the data file dxf. Type a file name or select from the pull-down menu (black triangle). Design files . The name of the file where the output graphic design import results will be stored. Layer . Name the layer where the imported graphic output will be stored. Append . If you enter the same layer name that already exist in the design file, then if the field append selected ( 3 ), the graphics will be added to the output layer. If the field append is not selected (), then layer the existing contents will be replaced (overwritten) by the inserted graphic. This field has no effect if the layer name you entered does not exist or new. Title . Details which you enter as an explanation of the graphics that are in the layer. Layer prefix. If the layer prefix is filled, then the name of the layer where graphical output is stored will have a prefix in accordance with the inserted. For example the name of the original layer of the dxf file is topo_digthen on the field layer prefix is filled a layer where the name of the graphics output is stored into atopo_dig. Colour mapping and mapping Line style . Line and color attributes for graphical output.

Controls:

Select OK or Apply .

4.4

Removing Data from Design File

The data contained within the design file can be issued in various formats such as DXF, XYZ, Vulcan and so on by using the following menu: MINESCAPE EXPLORER FOLDER DESIGN FILE - EXPORT or MINESCAPE EXPLORER FOLDER DATA - EXPORT Below are examples of removing data from the design files into DXF format. A form will be displayed and complete as follows:

Input:

Design files . The name of the file where the layer graphic design for which data is stored will be issued. Search layers . The names of the layer where the graphical elements for which data is stored will be issued. To select a layer click on the sign and then select the layer-layernya. DXF file . Name the output file.

Output:

Select OK or Apply .

4.5

Processing Data Design File

Minescape provides several facilities to process data stored in a design file that can be done by selecting the following menu: MINESCAPE EXPLORER FILES FOLDER DESIGN PROCESS Search . Finding the elements of design files that match the specified search criteria. The output is the form ID number of elements. Drape . Placing graphic elements either individually or in groups to a particular surface. Elevation of the original elements will be modified and replaced in accordance with the elevation surface where the graphic elements are placed. Reduce . Reduction in the number of elements, the number of vertices in the design files by removing vertex-verex unused. Link . Line connecting the string stored in the same layer, providing the endpoints of the line located at a certain distance. Intersect line . Finding and making a point of intersection of the line string and remove the dots and duplicate segments in the string line. Merge . Adjustment of the coordinates of the points in a string line, string or polygon points located within a specified distance so that the adjusted points will be located on the same coordinates. Clip . Delete the graphic elements contained either outside or inside the polygon.

4.6

Design Data File Copying

And layer elements contained in a design file can be copied to another file design projects both in the same or different. If that will be copied in the form of the element, then you must enter the ID number the element to be copied. Meanwhile, if the copied layer then you must select / type in layers that will be copied. To copy data in the form of a graphical element or layer using the following menu: MINESCAPE EXPLORER DESIGN DESIGN FILES CHOOSE ONE FILE COPY A form will be displayed and complete as follows:

Output:

Design files . Design file name where the copy will be stored.

Input / output: The input design file . The name of the file where the elements of graphic design or layer to be copied is stored. If the graphic element or layer that will be copied on the same project, then you just enter the name of the design file, or select from the pull-down menu. If the graphic elements / layers that will be copied on a different project, then you have to right click on the field and then select Projects . A form will be shown later on field projects select the project name in which graphic elements / layers that will be copied and stored in the field File name enter the name of the design file . Input layer . Name the layer where the graphical elements / layers that will be copied is stored. Output . The name of the output layer where the graphical elements / layers the copy is stored. Overwrite . If you enter the same layer name that already exist in the design file, then if the field isoverwritten filled Yes , it is the layer that has no content will be replaced (overwritten) by the inserted graphic. If the field Overwrite filled with stars, then the graphics will be added to the output layer. This field is not berpengarus if the layer name you entered does not exist or new. Select OK or Apply

4.7

Design File Delete Layer

If a layaer is no longer needed it can be removed by using the following menu: MINESCAPE EXPLORER DESIGN HIERARCHY DESIGN SELECT FILES FILE DELETE LAYER SELECT

4.8

Deleting Design File

If the design file is not needed then it can be removed by using the following menu: MINESCAPE EXPLORER DESIGN CHOOSE FOLDER DELETE FILES DESIGN

4.9

Display Design File Names

To display all design file names that have been made select the following menu: MINESCAPE EXPLORER FOLDER DESIGNS Design file name will be displayed to the right in minescape explorer.
