Introduction: - D.Y. PATIL UNIVERSITY & THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT.

The D. Y. Patil Group is a pioneer in the field of higher learning and its foray extends back to over two decades. The campus at Navi Mumbai is amongst the finest educational complexes in the country. Over the years, the Dr. D. Y. The University Grants Commission accorded the Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil a University status amongst the few nationally selected institutions in 2002. The Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University is led by the Chancellor Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil, a well known industrialist and educationist. He has set up THREE Universities (at Navi Mumbai, Pune and Kolhapur) and has established more than 160 colleges all over Maharashtra. More than a million students have completed their studies under these universities / colleges. The Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University located at Navi Mumbai is looked after the Vice Chancellor Dr. James Thomas, a renowned Cardiologist who has conducted more than 8000 Cardiac Surgeries. The Department of Business Management (DYPDBM) is an integral part

of the Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil University. The DYPDBM conducts programs in the field of Business Management using the latest pedagogy and in keeping with the latest trends in education. The Department is housed in a 80000 sq. ft own building at Sector 4 CBD Belapur and provides its students with the latest infrastructure. The DYPDBM has more than 46 full time faculties and around 50 visiting faculties. Today the department boasts of a 1000 strong student campus.
