David C. Jeck, Ed.D.

Dr. Jeck has continued to impress the School Board, his staff, and the community with his professionalism and drive to seek continual improvement for the Greene County Public Schools System. He has achieved the many successes in spite of reduced money from Federal , State, and local sources. He put forth extra effort to successfully manage the school system with the reduction in resources so that the impact to students would be minimal. -Summative Evaluation, 2012 Mr. Troy Harlow, Board Chair During the past eighteen years, I have gotten to know many district superintendents whom I have served as Associate Director of the Virginia Association of School Superintendents. I can say without reservation that David is one of the finest education leaders with whom I have worked. -Letter of recommendation Mr. Andy Stamp, Associate Executive Director, VASS

. he told us all, at one faculty meeting, that our goal was to have every student pass the SOL test, but that all pressure to do so would be on him. Please do not feel pressured by me; I am taking the responsibility for our performance. All I ask of you is that you believe that all of our students can be successful, and that has to come from you, not me. I think, at that moment, he won the unconditional respect of all of us. -Virginia Principal of the Year Nomination Letter (unsolicited) Mr. Ed Buhrer, Author and Retired Teacher
