PAWS Elementary School PAWS Elementary is a Title I school with approximately 80% free and reduced lunch economic

population. The ethnic makeup of the school is lead by the Hispanic population. Below you will find a Maturity Benchmark Survey and a summary of the PAWS Elementary School in all of the Benchmark stages.

Administrative Filter: Integrated


Policy Behavioral - Appropriate technology use is formalized and embraced in many parts of the school. Resource/Infrastructure - Some policy exists, loosely and most informal, with no formal approval. Planning Behavioral - Informal planning process, isolated to projects, and is budget driven. Resource/Infrastructure - Formal plan with isolated implementation and little or no connection to other planning efforts.

Budget Behavioral - Comprehensive long-term budgeting for the institutio; multiple budgets including upgrades, etc.

Resource/Infrastructure - Specific budget is proven in addition to line items in other budgets for long-term budget needs.

Administrative Information Behavioral - The daily use of electronic systems is required for support activities; paper systems are replaced. Resource/Infrastructure - Administrative systems are available to all administrators and staff.

Resource/Infrastructure - Limited formal technical assistance, usually a mentor, teacher, consultant, etc.

Local Area Networking Behavioral - Staff and students use available networks often but use is unsophisticated and limited. Resource/Infrastructure - High speed networking, limited to isolated areas. District Area Networking(WAN) Behavioral - Staff use district services often, but in very traditional and basic manners. Resource/Infrastructure - Comprehensive network services with high speed lines, voisce radio and data capacity; data services are available. Internet Access Behavioral - Many staff and students use the internet frequentaly, and curriculum intergration is limited. Resources/Infrastructure Communication Systems Behavioral - E-mail is used frequently to form administrative and learning activities. Resources/Infrastructure - E-mail is available to most staff and some students.

New Technologies Behavioral - New technologies are accepted by many of the staff members, although opportunities for experimentation are limited. Resources/Infrastructure - New technologies readily accepted by many staff members with little implementation.

Comprehensive Technologies Behavioral - Technology becoming more comprehensive including A/V digitizing and scanning. Resources/Infrastructure - Available technology utilization is limited to one or two types of technology for most staff and students.
