We welcome Bishop Bill to our Parish this weekend
for his Visitaon and the Celebraon of Conrmaon
withtheyoungermembersofourfaithcommunity.

Over the coming months I am hoping to be able to

move towards the establishment of a Parish Liturgy
CommieeinForsterTuncurry.Thepurposeofsucha
Commiee would be to assist me in moderang the
liturgical life of the Parish by the establishment of
Proclaiming Christ to the communies of Forster, Tuncurry and the surrounding districts

broad guidelines, to oer formaon and training for
those who are engaged in liturgical ministries, and to
help appropriately resource those liturgical ministries
intheParish.

The proposed Liturgy Commiee will not replace or

supersede the exisng Liturgy Team, but rather
supplementit.TheLiturgyTeamwillconnuetofull
theirexisngministryintheParishinconjunconwith
thenewCommiee.

The membership of the Commiee will be relavely

small(probablyaboutveintotal)andwillmeetona
regular basis (probably monthly) in order to full its
mandate.

Over the coming months I will be nalising the

structure and formal mandate of the new Liturgy
Commiee, and I hope to formally commission the
members of the Commiee towards the end of the
year. In the meanme, I would welcome, as always,
yourthoughtsandcommentsaboutthisdevelopment
in the life the Parish, preferably by email or wrien
note.
