From the Podium...

This week marks the last week before our Winter Showcase on the 17th. We will have combined band later in the week as we prepare for that and move to the stage as well for our nal preparations for the performances of all three grade levels. Our concert on the 17th will begin at 7:00PM. Ive encouraged students to dress festively. By this I mean that they can dress-up their Concert Black with holiday colors of their choice (or if they have a special holiday outt that they would prefer to wear thats ne - no jeans, t-shirts or shorts please). If this is going to be an issue, please let me know ASAP. Also, later in that week we will be traveling to the Elementary Schools with our Eighth Graders and ERJB (along with selected small ensembles from the 7th Grade). Ill have permission forms available at the concert for your convenience (and to remove the middleman). Mr. H

Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Graders will nish making nal preparations for the concert on the 17th. Please, if at all possible, try to not pull students out during our combined band times (Thursday and Friday for 7th, Friday and Monday for everybody else). This will help make sure that we are all prepared for the concert.

Soli Classica is located on Hendersonville Road and has a wide assortment of sheet music and books for musicians from 6th Grade to Adult. If youre looking for something else to challenge your young musician (or if theyd just like to play a little Justin Bieber) check them out.
