Tutorial
Learning Objectives: Students will learn how to effectively manage stress in the workplace. At the end of the instruction, students will be able to:
Define Workplace Stress. Identify Workplace Stress List Common Workplace Stressors Identify Methods for Minimizing or Eliminating Workplace Stress
Instructional Strategy: The utilization of a tutorial as an instructional strategy for this course design is appropriate because:
Tutorials can be used for numerous low and high-level skills (Fenrich, 2005). Tutorials can be designed to include assessments (Fenrich, 2005). Tutorials can include problem analysis and problem resolution (Fenrich, 2005). Tutorials can enhance and reinforce learning and increase retention of the learned material (Fenrich, 2005). Tutorials outline the expected learning outcomes for learners at the beginning of the learning, which helps learners to see the whole picture and to link ideas into meaningful wholes that will foster motivation, organization, and reflection (Perlman, 2005, pg. 155).
