Arsenal Players
5. Frank Mclintock: This fine player was a great leader as captain for the double-winning team of 1971. McLintocks original role was in midfield but he later moved to centre-half. In both positions, his tireless work rate and commitment could not be questioned. He went onto win three major trophies in the space of two years. The most memorable Frank moment came in the FA Cup final against Liverpool. Arsenal fell behind in extratime, but McLintock wasnt losing this one. He hauled his side out of the doldrums yet again and the rest, as they say, is history. 8. Ted Drake: Drake made his name at Arsenal as a fearless and rampaging centre-forward. The record books illustrate what a valuable addition he was to the allconquering side of the 1930s. If its goals you wanted, he was the man. Drake netted a staggering 42 league goals in the title triumph of 1934/35, but the most emphatic highlight of his career came at Aston Villa in a seven goal spectacular a double hat-trick! Super Ted still holds the top division record for the most goals in a game. 9. Pat Rice: Much more than just a player at Arsenal, Rice also served as a captain and coach. During his time in north London, he was a consistent and solid right-back. After retiring from his professional playing career, he served as assistant manager for the Gunners, where he played a key role in the clubs successes, including the doubles of 1997/98 and 2001/02 and the unbeaten league season of 2003/04. A salute to a true legend, whose contribution to the club has been tremendous.

1. Thierry Henry: Cool, composed and deadly! Arguably the greatest Arsenal player of all-time and the clubs leading goalscorer. He flourished under the guidance of Arsene Wenger and was responsible for one of the Gunners most glorious eras. His clinical finishes were feared by any defence and goalkeeper in English football. Theres too many sensational goals of Henrys to mention, but one of my favourites was the one against Man chester United in the Premier League in 2000. 2. Ian Wright: Some footballers are great goalscorers, others are scorers of great goals Ian Wright was both! He is one of the best known footballers in Britain, and the second all-time top scorer in Arsenal history. He became the quickest Arsenal player to score 100 goals for the club too. During George Grahams reign, it was Wright who mostly obliged with the winner and made famous the 1-0 to the Arsenal chant. Ian Wright, Wright, Wright!

Tony Adams
3. Tony Adams: The ultimate one-club man is arguably the best defender in Arsenals history. He signed for the club as a schoolboy and made his first team debut in 1983. Though he had his share of problems off the pitch, Adams fantastic leadership ability was much respected on the turf. The former England internationals club career, spanning 22 years, started and ended in north London. His 14 years as captain saw him celebrate 10 major trophies, including three league titles in three different decades. 4. Dennis Bergkamp: Known for his exceptional tactical skill and defence defying passes rather than his scoring rate, Bergkamp had never fallen into the category of a traditional striker or forward, rather, his role was to fill in the hole or that of a traditional inside forwards. The most naturally gifted player of his era not only transformed Arsenal, but the Premier League. His fine technique will be long remembered, as will the fact that he was part of the clubs 2005 FA Cup victory the last major trophy Arsenal has won. 6. David Seaman: Safe Hands was probably the best ever keeper at Arsenal and had many career highs in his time. He will be remembered for keeping a Premier League record 130 clean sheets. 7. Liam Brady: The former Ireland international was one of the best left-footed players ever, if not the best. His immense skill and excellent passing made him a fans favourite. There were many reasons why 1971 was such an iconic year for Arsenal Liam Chippy Brady was one of them! 10. Patrick Vieira: One of the most versatile midfielders to have played for Arsenal, the French maestro was best known as the ball-winning midfielder whose distribution was nothing short of excellent. He had great leadership skills, could create opportunities and out-run almost every other opponent the complete player.
