Dear Members of the Board of Selectmen: I am pleased to submit the accompanying response to your request for proposals for the position of Town Counsel. Petrini & Associates, P.C. is a full service municipal law finm We currently serve as Town Counsel to Framingham, Medway, Sherborn and West Brookfield, and are very interested in serving Duxbury as well. Each of our five lawyers is a highly experienced municipal lawyer. Our firm provides full Town Counsel services to our towns, including Town Meeting, licensing, land use, planning, environmental, public construction, litigation, contracts, conflict of interest, elections, finance, public sector labor law, employment, Open Meeting Law and general municipal 1 w. We place great importance on providing personal. responsive service to our clients. We deliver targeted and cost-effective legal services to support towns and cities in their quest to deliver excellence in municipal services. As part of our commitment to help your town control legal costs, we are proposing to provide basic Town Counsel services for an amount not to exceed $50,000 for the first year, as described in more detail in the accompanying proposal Petrini & Associates is a professional corporation that I founded in September of 2004 after practicing 11 years at Conn Kavanaugh Rosenthal Peisch & Ford, LLP, in Boston, at which I was a partner. Barbara J. Saint Andr, who will serve as primary town counsel to Duxbury if we are appointed, joined the firm in 2006 after practicing municipal law, with a particular emphasis on land use law, for 21 years at Kopelman and Paige, P.C., in Boston, where she had been a principal since 1989.
