Why did Noah curse Canaan The son of Ham ?

In Genesis 3;16 we read about the consequences of the penalty of disobedience. Eve was told that she would bring forth children in sorrow and her desire would be towards her husband and Adam her husband would rule over her. In Genesis 3 :17, we read that GOD cursed the ground, because Adam had listened to the voice of his wife instead of listening to THE VOICE OF GOD. In Genesis 3: 18 we read about the consequences of the earth being cursed. - the ground would bring forth "..thorns also and thistles..". Remember, how we read that when Our Lord Yeshua Ha-Mashiach The Lord Jesus Christ was betrayed, and beaten with the Roman Cat of Nine Tails and a robe was placed on Him and The Crown of Thorns placed on His head ? Sin has consequences. We are free moral agents. We are not puppets. We are not robots. we are not cyborgs. We were created to be free moral agents with the power of choice. The decisions we make in life have consequences. We have to make wise decisions in life because every decision we make in life has an impact on our journey of life and impacts our course to our destination. Now the question is "..Why did Noah, curse Canaan the son of Ham ?.." That is a good question. It is a fair question. In Genesis 9 :19-29 we read :

These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. 20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
"

And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
21

And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
22

And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
23

And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
24

And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
25

And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
26

God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27

And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
28

And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died".
29 In Genesis 9 :19-29 we read about Noah having a vine yard and one day he harvests his vineyard and make wine and gets drunk. Notice, in Genesis 9:24 -25 The Bible says that when ".. Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son done unto him.." , Noah in his sober mind, in his sober senses, no longer drunk with wine, cursed Canaan , Ham's Son. Now Noah had come to his senses, he came to himself, just like the Prodigal Son, Noah awoke from spiritual slumber and not being drunk but being sober he realised that something had happened when he had got drunk. What had Ham done, that made Noah curse Canaan ? Why does the Bible say that Noah said ".. Cursed be Canaan: a servant of servants

shall he be unto his brethren..". [ Genesis 3;25]. When did Noah awake from his wine ? Notice The Bible says that Noah awoke from his wine. It does not say that Noah awoke from his sleep. There is a difference. Think about it.

And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren".
"... 24 Why would Ham want to go into his father's tent when his father was sleeping ? Be careful now. What would motivate Ham to go into his father's tent when Ham was drunk and sleeping the sleep of the drunk ? Think. Noah had planted a vineyard. Noah had become a husbandman. Noah had made wine. Did Noah become a drunken alcoholic ? Yes. Noah had become a drunken alcoholic incapable to perform his duties as a husband. Noah's vineyard ruined Noah's married life. Noah's new drunken lifestyle impacted on his marital conjugal duties. The wine would put Noah into a deep sleep. The wine would knock Noah out. Noah would just get drunk and "..sleep the sleep of the drunk and was not having sex with his wife". In Genesis 9:24 we read that "And Noah awoke from his wine and knew what his younger son had done unto him". What was it ? Noah was drunk for about nine months until Canaan was born. And when Noah searched his mind to try and remember when last he had slept with his wife, he could not remember because of the wine. The wine had made his mind go to sleep. The wine had made his mind sleep to the fact that Ham conducted himself in such a manner as to suggest that Ham was the true father of Canaan and that Canaan was not Noah's son. When Noah began to put two and two together, Noah realised that Ham had disgraced him and that Canaan was not his son but Ham's son.

In Genesis 9:19 - 25 we read : "...These

are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. 20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.

24

And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren".
25 Ham had committed incest. Ham had slept with Noah's wife and in so doing Ham had "..uncovered the nakedness of his father..". In Leviticus 18-8 we read :

The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness".
" So Ham, had uncovered his father's nakedness i.e. the nakedness of his father's wife. Ham impregnated Noah's wife and Canaan was born about nine month's later. And Noah by observation, when he came to himself and "awoke from his wine " [ Genesis 9:24 ] realised that ham had committed incest and when Noah looked at

Canaan, Noah cursed his grandson Canaan for Canaan was the product of sin. Noah , cursed and did not Bless Canaan, the son of Ham. The question asked "why did Noah curse Canaan the son of Ham.." ? The answer is that Canaan was cursed by Noah. Noah did not curse Ham. Noah cursed Canaan, the son of Ham, Canaan was the offspring of Ham.
