The business was originated in Cebu and established other branches in Marikina, Iloilo, Cagayan and Bacolod. It is highly recommended for a retailing type of business to implement a computerized system for the Payroll process to save time on their daily transactions. The system implemented strict monitoring of attendance and precise processing of payroll which reduces the human errors and delayed salaries due to manual computation. With the developed system, the company can save a lot of time finding a certain record of an employee. The viewing, editing or printing that the company need is just in a few clicks. The developed system benefits the company as well as the staffs that is assigned to create the payroll for each employee. There are three levels of users in the developed system. These are the HR Department, the Accounting Department and the Employees.

Findings In order to accomplish the objectives in the study, the developed system incorporates several modules which are efficient in checking each employee attendance and handling the computation of payroll. Just like any other Payroll system, the RoseMed Medical Supplies system and the proposed system offer various similarities.

These similarities include: Usability of the system for the employees (Time logging, filing of leaves and loans, viewing of profiles and salary information) Administrators high level of manipulation in the system (Adding accounts and deactivating, Report Generation, Backing up records, allowing and rejecting leaves) Operation of payroll for each employees under the assigned user User manual and system information

The proposed system also contains some modules that are not present in the RoseMed Computerized Attendance and Payroll system. These are as follows: 3.1.3 Title:Bar Coded Attendance and Payroll system with Sales and Reservation for Tagaytay City Picnic Grove Authors:Roxas, L.A. Date:August 2009 Employees time logging Filing of special queries (Outside Business Activities) Issuing a complaint regarding Payroll result Approving and declining employees queries under Administrator user Pay slip checking and approving under Administrator user Uploading and checking of attendance under Accounting user

As observed in the study, the Tagaytay City Picnic Grove is a very busy place and leveled on to medium-large scale of business. Huge number of people is expecting to visit the place every day most especially during special occasions. Stated facts is qualified to be the reasons why the company is recommended to implement a bar coded attendance, computerized sales and reservation system. Another objective of the study is to acquire an accurate and reliable time of works of the companys employees. It is proven to be efficient for the business because it has a feature of Sales and Reservation. The developed system also includes the computation of the developed system. The system lets the Administrator gain an easy access of controlling and monitoring the time of work of the employees and also the companys progress of Sales.

Findings: Ms. Roxas developed system offers a variety of features which the proposed system lacks. The developed system not only focused on the Attendance and Payroll but also handles Sales monitoring and the Reservation for the theme park.

However, there are some modules in the proposed system under the Payroll process which the developed system does not include. These are: Viewing of salary by cut-off or by ledger under the Employee user Filing of Leave, Personal loans and Outside Business Activities Issuing a complaint regarding Payroll result Approving and declining employees queries under Administrator user Pay slip checking and approving under Administrator user Uploading of attendance Users manual/guide and systems information

3.2.2. Title:Attendence monitoring system via RFID Author:Zainirah Abdul Manan

Date:November 2010 Source:http://eprints.ptar.uitm.edu.my/818/ Description: The main objective of the developed system is to eliminate the manual attendance system of FTMSK and to eliminate continuous expenses in using time cards. The methodology used in the study is the SDLC or the System Development Life Cycle. The said methodology is observed to help the developer gather more information in regards with the subject of the study. This system has developed to monitor the attendance monitoring system via RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), it has the ability to easily and properly manage the attendance, save time and prevent unnecessary expenses. Through RFID, the attendance will automatically be recorded to the Administrators database. The information of lecturer in database is limited only less than thousand users and using web camera to get a static image. A description research design using a survey instrument was administered in this study. This study aims to help the company to properly manage the attendance, save the time consuming manual processes and to speed up the companys attendance system as well as to improve the business progress.

Findings: The developed system is limited only to the attendance monitoring system of the FTMSK but offers a high technology processing of attendance. This system will record

the current time the staffs enter and exit from office. The employers will be given passive tag each and they need to touch the tag to the antenna. As they pass the tag through RFID scanner, the attendance will automatically be recorded to the admin database. However, the proposed system also covers the payroll computation for the employees. Together with the computerized log in and log out of the employees, the attendance will be uploaded and submitted to the system for the computation. The proposed system also allows the employees to view their profile and salary. The employees can also transact their queries (leaves, loans, OBs and complaints) to the Administrator.

3.2.3. Title:Web-based Salary System for Palm Oil Estate Farmer

Author:Azahari bin Abdul Aziz Date:February 2011 Source:http://eprints.ptar.uitm.edu.my/1383/ Description: The study is basically designed for solving salary management in Felda (business farm). One of the main objectives of this study is to eliminate the problem of difficulties in linking the system for each user such as the staffs, managers and the farmers. The system will also diminish the time consuming Payroll processes through DOS (black and white screen) for the huge number of farmers working for the company. The existing system is stand-alone and not easy and quick to use because it mostly uses the keyboard rather than the mouse. The User Interface of the existing system is dull and not an interactive one. The developed system is web-based, basically allowing access not only to the administrator but also to the employees. It also contains a more user-friendly design which leads to the increase of the productivity of the staffs. The system is developed on PHP and the database handler is the MySQL. The system provides updating of information and retrieving of data in an efficient and less time consuming manner. The main objective of this system is to manage the flow of the employees salary smoothly.

Findings:

An easy access is offered by the developed system because of its web-based features making the employees view their profile and salary information through the internet. The employees can further their use of the system even in other places. The advantage of the proposed system from the developed system is the processing of attendance for the employees. The proposed system contains modules for time logging of the employees as well as the uploading of the attendance and submitting to the payroll process.
