SANDY !

As Storm Sandy came upon us, I was recovering from surgery, lost our electric for 9 days while almost all of my staff was in Haiti on a missions trip. Forced into high gear we moved into the Relief Base and became a strategic base of Operation Sandy Relief . My team consisted of Johanna, myself, and a couple of volunteers. We mobilized emergency operations reaching out to the decimated areas of NY including Staten Island, Coney Island and Far Rockaway. We began managing huge amounts of donations that began to pour in from all over the country.

The Relief Bus News!

NEW BUS!! Our new 2013 Thomas bus is nearing completion at Custom Conversions in Hammonton, NJ. This vehicle will be a state of the art, Urban Assault Vehicle! Fully equipped and ready for Urban Missions Front Line Service, this bus is fully paid for by a generous donor, ($180,000). Our old 1991 Ford will be retired and our 2008 Bus will undergo much needed repairs after the new bus goes into service

MATILDA First came from Sweden at the age of 16 ten years ago as an intern. She recently came back with her husband to go on the bus again.

THANKSGIVING DINNER Today hundreds were served our annual Thanksgiving day dinner right on the streets in the Bronx and Harlem in collaboration with NYSUM, (NY School of Urban Ministry).

JOHANNA Has been coming back from Finland for 11 years since rst coming as an intern at 21. We just procured her 6 year VISA so she can become full time sta!
