Information gathering about the current system (annual or computerized):

PTCL used both manual & computerized system for information gathering & the company
has a website for the purpose of exchanging information inside as well as for general public.
Company has its MIS for this function.

Meeting with executive for getting permission:

I visit the organization named PTCL Jhelum. I introduce myself that I am doing MBA from
virtual university & working on a project that is related to the PTCL. Therefore, I want to
meet sub divisional officer for getting some information.

After waiting sometime I was able to meet with SDO. After greeting, I describe the purpose
of my visit & he cooperates fully with me for obtaining information.

Tools used for information gathering:

PTCL used computerized system for gathering information. We are connected with each other
through internet & exchange information with each other through mails or phone calls.

Developing an interview:

I am hopeful about my information system. Now it is deficiencies
because all work is record on the computer. There is no need to separately
enter data for each of the other related activities. Integrated packages can
move data among several programs utilizing common commands & files
structures. In fact, there are multiple applications using the same data
simultaneously. Now I can any information within few minutes.

The structure of the production system, the current inventories levels &
the lot sizing procedure for each operation.
