Oxide (Ru/Co/Ce)

The paper deals with the reactivity of RuO2/Co3O4/CeO2 nanoparticles prepared by a reverse micelle approach, which was precipitated by alkali-hydrolysis of RuCl3, Co(NO3)2 and Ce(NO3)2 and transformed into RuO2/Co3O4/CeO2 catalyst by calcinations in air at 400C. The catalysts were investigated with X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and Brunner Emmet Teller (BET) techniques and were tested for oxidation of p-Xylene. The nanocatalyst exhibited high catalytic activities for the oxidation of p-Xylene to the terephthalic acid under heterogeneous condition. In order to obtain maximum conversion of p-Xylene, the reaction parameters, like reaction temperature and time, were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, a maximum of 98% p-Xylene conversion and 96% selectivity were achieved with RuO2/ Co3O4/CeO2 mixed oxide nanocatalyst. In these days, air pollution is a serious global problem and legal regulation has been tightened. The catalytic oxidation of ethyl acetate in low concentration was studied over nano Cu-zeolite catalysts, which differ in the preparation methods. The catalysts were prepared using both of ultrasound (US) and ion-exchange (IE) methods. The synthesized catalysts were investigated and characterized by means of X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. These studies indicated the nanostructure form of catalyst. Activity of catalysts was measured in a catalytic packed bed reactor under atmospheric pressure and reaction temperatures were between 200 to 450C. The results of volatile organic compound (VOC) catalytic oxidation were investigated by GC and GCmass. Keywords: Nano catalyst; Ultrasound; Ethyl acetate; Zeolite; Volatile organic compound APP 167

La1-xSmxNiO3- solids (x=0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9 and 1) have been prepared by fine chemical using the modified citrate sol-gel method. The prepared compounds were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. The results showed that highly homogeneous and crystalline oxides with particle sizes in the range of nanometers were obtained through this synthesis method. The XRD patterns of the prepared samples confirmed that at x>0.1, the rate of perovskite structure formation decreased drastically and different phases containing La2NiO4, NiO and Sm2O3 were produced. For all of the samples, catalytic activities in various reaction temperatures and atmospheric pressure were investigated in process of combined carbon dioxide reforming and partial oxidation of methane (CDRPOM). All samples presented similar activity at 800 C while at lower temperatures, the La1-xSmxNiO3- catalysts (x= 0.1, 0.9, 1) showed the highest activity. Keywords: Sol-gel; Perovskite; Nanocatalyst; Substitution; CDRPOM process

In this research, titania nanoparticles was encapsulated into the prepared zeolite ZnX. The synthesized samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX). Morphology of the samples was studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM). The photocatalytic behavior of the prepared samples was studied in decomposition of nitrophenol and phenol under UV irradiation. The obtained results showed that the photocatalytic activity of ZnTiX nanoparticles was more than that of ZnX nanoparticles.
