THREE GRAVELY HURT AFTER ROBBERY
Police are looking for a group of males after a violent early morning robbery outside a tavern on Saturday. On Oct. 29 at about 2:10 a.m., the group surrounded three male victims outside the tavern near Victoria Park and Finch avenues, police say. The victims were allegedly punched, kicked, and struck with batons and chairs. The suspects fled with a laptop, police say. ATTEMPTED ROBBERY IN EAST END


Police in 42 Division reported an attempted robbery on Nov. 23 at approximately 5:55 p.m. in the area of Sandhurst Circle and McCowan Road in Scarborough. One of the suspects attempted to grab the victims cellular phone out of his hands, but the victim was able to make a safe escape. The suspects immediately fled the scene.

SUSPECT SOUGHT AFTER HIT AND RUN


Police are seeking a suspect in connection with a hit and run accident on Oct. 29. The incident happened in a McDonalds parking lot at Lawrence Ave. and Kingston Rd. when a 40-year-old man was struck and dragged by the car. The victim and a 27-year-old woman got into a dispute with a passenger in the drive-through. MOTHER CHARGED AFTER CHILD FALLS FROM BALCONY Police have charged a 24-yearold mother with attempted murder after her 3-year-old daughter fell from a balcony on the sixth-floor of a Scarborough apartment building. The child suffered life-threatening head injuries and is now at the Hospital for Sick Children, police say. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

WOMAN TESTIFIES IN MURDER CASE


An ongoing trial of a 2008 fatal Thanksgiving stabbing in Scarborough continues after Nathaniel OBrien is charged with firstdegree murder in the deaths of Saramma Varughese and Susan John. Police said OBrien was arrested inside Johns home, wearing bloodsoaked boxer shorts.
