13C Experimental Procedures

The purpose of this assignment is to: Enable you to demonstrate your understanding of forensic procedures and your ability to carry them out efficiently adapting them if required.

Scenario: You are working as one of the laboratory team for the Forensic Science Service your job is to analyse evidence as it comes in from the crime scene. Working from the plan from assignment 13B you will carefully analyse the evidence and collect the results to see if this points to the suspect Task 1 You need to collect the evidence your team collected at the start of this unit and analyse it according to your procedures you produced in assignment 13B. You need to write a short report showing your results and drawing conclusions from your investigations. You will be supplied with samples from each of the suspects try to find the culprit. You can photograph yourself carrying out these practicals as evidence for your portfolio This provides evidence for P4

Task 2 You need to include in your report for task 1 a description of the patterns observed and any relevant connections you observed. You need to correctly identify the perpetrator and explain what evidence led you to this conclusion.
