DISCUSSION

The level three Bachelor of Science in Nursing students of Notre Dame University affirms to have no significant relationship between the factors affecting the caring behaviours and the participant s caring behaviours as verified by means of the research tool.

First, the test result showed that the caring behaviours are often applied by the level three Bachelor of Science in Nursing students in their patient at Cotabato Regional and Medical Center. Jean Watson (2003) stated that the caring is a science that encompasses a humanitarian, human science orientation, human caring processes, phenomena, and experiences and an evolving new field that is grounded in the discipline of nursing and evolving nursing science. NMAHP Quality Councils, (2011) acknowledged that the healthcare staffs ability to deliver a caring based model in medical practice is influenced by the healthcare nurse characteristics as well as the range of professional and organizations behaviours. It was also revealed that the top one highest caring behaviour mean is the statement number fifteen with a mean of 3.53. It was stated there that the student nurse always endorses his patient properly to other member of the health care team. This implied that the participants have a collaborative teamwork with the other health care team in rendering a quality nursing care to their patients. According

to Moore (2012) Collaborative health care practices facilitate better patient outcomes. The healthcare team works as a group utilizing individual skills and talents to reach the highest patient care standards. A multidisciplinary plan of care should be decided by all of the team members. The top two highest mean is the statement number fifteen with a mean of 2.98. It was stated there that the student nurse often provides comfort measures to their patient. It is useful because rendering comforts measures will help creating an healing environment which improves the patients condition. Likewise it enables the student nurse to perform a quality nursing care which helps the student nurse in developing her competency on caring behaviour. One of the gratifications of human needs is to assist in the basic needs of the patient with an intentional caring consciousness for example providing comfort measures to a sick patient. This will help to potentiate alignment of mind body spirit, wholeness, and unity of being in all aspects of care Andrews and Arnerich (2008). For the family matters one of the highest mean ratings is in the statement number three. The student nurse strongly agreed that they feel loved by their family. This signifies that the student
