Hartwick Colleges Three-Year Degree Program saves students time and money, without sacrificing the full college experience. Its that simple.
An exceptional education.
Hartwicks Liberal Arts in Practice curriculum is what makes the Three-Year Bachelors Degree Program work. Its a unique combination of traditional liberal arts study and experiential learning. That means youll have great classroom experiences and youll make that learning real by getting into the field to study abroad, complete internships, and serve your community. Our 11-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio means youll get to know our expert faculty personally. Youll work with them on the kinds of laboratory and research opportunities that undergraduates rarely get to experience. Hartwicks Three-Year Degree Program was developed in close collaboration with our faculty. Their expertise and our flexible curriculum are a few of the reasons our Three-Year Degree works at Hartwick while some other schools have failed.
Added benefits.
As a Three-Year Degree student, youll graduate sooner with less debt. Youll also get priority course registration, special academic advising, and the option of a special living-learning residential environment.
How it works.
You take a few extra courses (40 credits per year instead of 30) and you finish a year early. In the process, you save an entire years tuition and get to grad school or work even sooner. You can earn a Hartwick degree and enjoy every aspect of campus life in three years, saving a lot of money along the way. No online courses, no summer school (except if youre in nursing), no strings. Three-Year Degree students are motivated and hard-working, so they dont make a lot of compromises. Theyre on our sports teams, and in our clubs. Theyre performing on stage, hanging with friends, or living at our Pine Lake Environmental Campus. www.hartwick.edu/threeyeardegree
You can still be involved The Three-Year in everything. Program is unique, My parents are paying for my and its realistic.
education Im very lucky. They never pushed me to go into the Three-Year Degree Program for financial reasons, but when I did they were excited. I have a pretty substantial merit scholarship, but the Three-Year Program helps so much more. I feel like Im capable of going into law school without a ton of extra debt. Im definitely prepared for the next step. Theres no doubt Im bummed out to leave this place and leave my friends, but I think Im ready to spread my wings, as clich as that sounds. As a Three-Year student you dont miss any of the opportunities four-year students have. You can still be involved in internships, clubs, activities, and athletics everything.

Saving money is definitely a good thing. Getting on to my masters a year faster with only three years of loans? Thats very helpful. The Three-Year Program is unique, and its realistic. If youre willing to put in the time and take an extra class or two a semester, youre going to show initiative and that translates to doing well in the job market. It is a little more work than the four-year student has, but its only a class or two more a semester. Im saving a ton of money, getting to my masters sooner, and getting a job sooner. It saves a lot of money in the long run, and you still get to have fun and hang out with your friends. Its the real college experience.
