    The Roadmaster Street Light from Lighting Science Group is a new product focused to replace the 100-150W HPS cobrahead. It is the rst LED product to directly address the primary street light cost driver from the utilitys perspective for maintenance. The Roadmaster pays for itself after the avoidance of one lamp replacement, and over its rated life it will avoid a total of 4 lamp changes. For a municipality, the payback will be even more dramatic, because it will include the 50% reduction in energy costs. The Roadmaster will consume approximately 55 watts of power at 85 LMS/W compared to 100 watts for a traditional HPS. It will have a rich suite of utility features unparalleled in traditional as well as LED roadway lighting available today.
