Cucumber markets have firmed as Georgia and Florida growing areas experience cooler weather.

Eggplant markets are strong as supplies are affected by brown spotting due to cooler temperatures.

4.RED PEPPERS

Red Pepper markets are extremely strong as supplies become lighter on the West Coast due to transition.

5.ASPARGUS

Markets will remain strong until Thanksgiving.

Demand on the East Coast has temporarily decreased as a result of the hurricane. However, markets will remain strong until Thanksgiving.

Lettuce markets are steady. Romaine and Iceberg markets have risen slightly. Quality is good with occasional instances of tip burn, lighter weights and decay as a result of hot temperatures and wind.

As California winds down, supplies are coming primarily from Florida. Markets are firm as growing areas experience cooler weather. However, markets will come off once supplies increase and the weather warms up. Grape and Cherry markets have come off.

Honeydew and Cantaloupe markets are steady with good supplies on all sizes. Conditions should remain for another week or so until we experience a seasonal decline in supplies. Import melons are expected to begin in two weeks.
