The Convention: The programmes will consist of devotional songs, meditation, yoga, guest-lectures by special invitees and speakers, paper presentation by delegates, question-answer sessions, games and cultural presentations. Purpose: To inculcate national consciousness among youth through spreading the message and ideals of Swami Vivekananda and other self-sacrificing role-models that have far-reaching appeal and relevance today. Proposed topics for talks, paper presentation or discussion:

Delegates to note carefully the following: 1. Each person must bring simple bed-rolls (including pillow; bed-sheet; light warm clothing; torch-light; umbrella, (depending on weather); only normal cold water for bathing; self-help for laundry. 2. Dress-code: Dignified; traditional. No jeans or body-hugging dresses. Boys/Men: Pant-shirt (decent colours); Girls/Ladies: sarees/salwar, kameez, churidar. 3. Camp is completely residential. 4. Only vegetarian food will be served. 5. Discussion will be mostly in Tamil with a few exceptions. 6. Wearing ID-card (issued on registration) with photo is mandatory. 7. Relatives/friends and outsiders are restricted during the camp. 8. Using mobiles during deliberations is not permitted. 9. Delegates are responsible for their personal belongings. 10. Smoking / liquor / intoxicants / drugs, etc., strictly prohibited. Reception will begin on 9th January 2013 morning and continue till 7:00 p.m. Lunch, etc., will be served to the delegates from 9th January 2013 noon. Extension of stay will be allowed with prior permission only in exceptional cases where delegates may have to leave by the late-night buses or trains.
