INTRODUCTION:
Adolescence is the most important period in once life. It is a period of stress and strain, of day dreams, of intense affection and excitement the mind is pious and pure, free of all wickedness. The adolescent is still teen and lacks of maturity of thought and experiences. He and she is not aware of what is proper and what is improper and therefore is danger of going on the wrong path.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:


Utility of Peplaus interpersonal theory in dealing with difficult situations among 1st year B.sc Nursing students

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY:


1. To assess the difficult situations encountered by the 1st Year B.Sc Nursing students. 2. To administer Peplaus principle of therapeutic interpersonal theory. 3. To assess the level of difficult situations after administration of Peplaus principle of therapeutic interpersonal theory.

HYPOTHESIS OF THE STUDY:


There will be a significant difference in the level of difficult situations faced by the 1st year B.Sc Nursing students prior to and after the application of Peplaus interpersonal theory.

OPERATIONAL DEFINITIONS:
Utility In this study it refers to the usefulness of Peplaus interpersonal theory in dealing with difficult situations among the 1st year B.Sc Nursing students. Difficult Situations This refers to circumstances or situations such as loneliness, cultural change change in food, and academic demands which caused undue anxiety and discomfort.

1st Year B.Sc Nursing Students In this study, it refers to all those students enrolled in a selected nursing college and living on their own as paying guests (PG), in hostels or rented house.

Peplaus Principle of Interpersonal Theory This refers to the interpersonal theory developed by Hildegard E.Peplau which entails principle in developing therapeutic relationship with clients in need of support.

INTERVENTIONAL PROTOCOL INTRODUCTION:


Anxiety is a state of fear which is common among all age groups. It is experienced every day in our life either when we are in any new situation, when we are excited, when we are going to perform any new task, etc. anxiety is the common problems most students experience at the stage of adolescence. Exam is the most anxious period for the student. However, when anxiety begins to affect exam performance it becomes a problem. Hence to cope up with all these problems, they try to relax their mind by doing certain activities like adequate rest and sleep, taking proper nutrition, proper nourishment, exercise, yoga, connecting with the others, nature, television, etc. Among this one of the best methods is to practice yogasanas.

OBJECTIVES:
The participants will learn structured group of asanas, which relieve anxiety. The participants will have reduced test anxiety level. The participants will be able to perform tests without anxiety

PRECAUTIONS:
Avoid food and water 1 hour before performing Asanas. Use only yoga mat. Avoid tight clothes. ( No restriction around the limbs) It is best to have a fresh air in a quiet and clean place. Do not practice yoga in direct sunlight or after sun bathing. Avoid cold wind and insects. Proceed slowly and carefully. Follow the instructions exactly. Remember golden rule if its uncomfortable DONT.

Never practice yoga techniques under the influence of alcohol and mind altering drugs. Meditate before starting the asanas for at least 3 minutes. Remove spectacles, watches and other Ornaments keep safely in yoga pouch. Maintain a break of at least 30 seconds between each asana in the sequence. You can also play a nice slow music in the back ground if you like. After completing the asanas take rest for 1 hour then only have food.
