Greetings to our partners in social transformation! The Development Studies Program of the Ateneo de Manila University, the Philippines Social Enterprise Network (PhilSEN), and the Ateneo Center for Social Entrepreneurship would like to invite you to the 2012 Social Entrepreneurship Conference entitled, Enabling Social Enterprise: Harnessing Opportunities for Social Impact November 8 to 9, 2012 Leong Hall Auditorium, Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights Campus This event seeks to gather over 200 representatives from the social enterprise sector, civil society, business, government and the academe to discuss various emerging opportunities for social enterprises. Four opportunities, in particular, will be discussed at the conference: financing options for social enterprises, the social enterprise bill filed in Congress, opportunities for social enterprises from emerging technologies, and opportunities for partnerships with government. These four opportunities will be discussed in four panels over a span of two days. Workshops will be conducted on the first day to provide a venue for smaller groups to discuss various sectoral concerns at greater length. Please find attached the conference description, tentative program of the conference and registration form. For inquiries, please contact Melissa Mar-Reyes at +63 2 426-5659 or Jaja Villarente at +63 2 905-5541696, or email ds@admu.edu.ph or jbvillarente@yahoo.com. This will be the third social entrepreneurship conference staged by Ateneo and PhilSEN at the Ateneo de Manila University. The first two conferences were very well-attended and very well-received. Sincerely yours,
