DIRECTIONS: Located along the I-5 Freeway between Oceanside and San Clemente. Approximately one hour south of downtown Los Angeles and 1 hour north of downtown San Diego. From I-5 Freeway (north or southbound), exit Los Pulgas Rd. Go WEST on Los Pulgas Rd, proceed through the yellow gate onto a dirt road toward the ocean to the parking area. There is no charge for parking. THE COURSE: Wide, fast dirt roads; deep sand sections; barriers; ride-able hard packed beach section; and a few small climbs and technical turns. Race held during LOW TIDE so no need to ride through the surf! THE VENUE: On the beach at the north end of Oceanside California, just south of San Clemente. The venues main area is set up on the bluff overlooking the beautiful Pacific Coast shoreline. Bleachers near the start/finish offer great views of the course. Please park (and ride) only in designated areas. Please do not wander outside of the race course perimeter. REGISTRATION: Pre-register on-line at www.athletepath.com. Online registration closes Thursday, Nov. 8 at 11:59 pm (PST). Race Day registration opens at 7:30 am and closes 15 minutes prior to each race category start. $5 late fee for race day registration. Add a second race for $5. Note: age groups are based on your cyclocross racing age your age on Dec. 31, 2013. RULES: Event held under American Bicycle Racing Permit. All 2012 ABR rules apply. Event will be held rain or shine, no refunds. Cyclocross and mountain bikes (no bar ends) allowed. Bicycle and wheel changes are allowed in the designated pit areas only. Riders shall stay on the course or existing trails/roads. No warming up on course while a race is running. Once a race has finished you may pre-ride the course starting at the finish line but may not pass an active racer. Pre-rides must stop when the next race starts.
