Katrathai Koddupom Donation of books for the rural libraries on 16-05-2008 Within Ten days (5-5-2008 to 15-05-2008) 10,000 used books were collected from the urban household of Madurai and distributed it to the Government rural libraries of Madurai District. 2. World Religion Day Celebration An Inter collegiate Quiz Competition on 18-01-2009 Preliminary rounds were conducted at the campus of twelve colleges from December 17 2008 to January 12 2009 and in each college a pair of team was selected. Out of 647 students 24 students were selected for the final rounds. Final round was conducted on the World religion day. 6. Awareness program on Health Insurance on 23-03-2009 Awareness programme on Insurance Claims was organized for the Primary School Teachers at Government Primary School, Alanganallur. 10. Indru Oru Gramam Awareness on Female infanticide from 12-02-2009 to 05-03-2009 Twenty two villages in the radius of thirty Kilometers around Madurai were opted and the awareness programme was staged to educate the public by the skit, game show and pamplets. 11. Series of Awareness programme on Health care Opportunities for the Self Help Group members from 17-04-2009 to 20-04-2009 Awareness Programme for self Help group on Health care opportunities were conducted at four different places of Kalanjiam trust offices of Madurai District. 12. Illakiathil Maruthuvam A Tamil book released on 26-04-2009 A Tamil book Ilakkiyathil Maruthuvam (Medicine in Tamil Literature) released on 26-04-09 was wrote by Prof.S.Ganesan. 13.Sogai illa Thogai Series of Camp to Eradicate Anemia from 23-06-2009 Melakkal, Sathangudi and Viradipathu villages were opted and in each month camp will be conducted each village for four times a year. By screening the women in the villages anemic will be detected and by the continuous treatment the same will be eradicated. Same time, research on anemia will be conducted. 14.
