INSTALLATION REMINDERS FOR TRANSFORM 3.3

The Transform Setup program fully automates the installation of Transform and, if necessary, the Microsoft Win32s sub-system. Microsoft Windows version 3.1 users must ensure that SHARE.EXE is loaded before attempting to install Transform. This is necessary to ensure that the Win32s sub-system can be properly installed.

MATHLINK Transform supports MathLink connections to Mathematica. The TRNSFRM3.INI file may need to be modified to specify the pathname for the MLINK32.DLL library. Currently, the MLINK32.DLL file is set to the following directory: MTHLNK32 = C:\WNMATH22\MLINK32.DLL. If Mathematica is installed in a different directory, edit the TRNSFRM3.INI file to reflect the appropriate path.

ANIMATION Transform allows you to create animation files in the AVI format. They may be viewed using Microsoft Video for Windows or the Microsoft Windows Media Player, included with Microsoft Windows. Under Microsoft Windows 3.1, the Microsoft Windows Media Player requires the Microsoft Video for Windows Runtime libraries to play AVI files. The Microsoft Video for Windows 1.1 Runtime is a publicly available library and may be obtained from a variety of public sources, including Fortner Research. For your convenience the Windows Runtime libraries have been included on the CD ROM under the Media directory. Please contact Fortner Research Technical Support for additional information.
