This book is more practical than theoretical. Correct uses of prepositions have been explained with examples and detailed interpretation. This book is for those students, who think prepositions a difficult task to understand and face difficulty in writing English correctly. This book is very useful for preparing for examination. The easiest way has been adopted to make grammar understand. Everyone will find this book useful in enhancing grammatical skills and using this book will be very helpful in speaking and writing English correctly. The aim of writing this book is to share English grammar knowledge. The common mistakes, which are made by the students at the time of speaking and writing English, have been explained in detail. This book has been divided into two parts. The first part consists of 100 problems of prepositions and the second part is related to 30 exercises of prepositions. This book is equally useful for aptitude test, advanced learners of English language and everyone.

From: From is used before a noun or phrase denoting a starting point. Since: Since is used before a noun or phrase denoting a starting point and it is followed by a verb in perfect tense. Like: Like is used before a noun or pronoun to talk about similarity. As: As is used before a noun to talk about the role or function of a person or thing. He bats like Inzimam-ul-Haq. Opposite: We use Opposite when we talk about across the road/room etc. We use Opposite when someting/someone is on the other side. Above: We use Above, when we measure temperature and height. Above is used, when something is written before in a book or paper. We use Above, when the position of one thing is higher than another. Over: We use Over when we talk about ages, money, speed and time. Over is used when one thing covers another. Over is used for movement. He puts the books over the keys. He built a library above his room. Everybody will follow above rules and regulations. Dont jump over the wall. He is over 40. I waited for you over three hours, but you didnt come. Home and At home


Home: If there is a verb of movement in a sentence we do not use (to) before home. At home: When we talk about the position, we say At home. He is going x home. He is coming x home. He is at home.
