TRAINING REPORT FOR KIDS PDR SESSION 1. Some Points to Note, Time Management; excess time was spent on observatory drills and Defusion drills More attention must be paid to these time parameters. Do we extend the time or manage use of time more efficiently. Time Management: we were unable to drill the spear sharpening drills through to the 3 step bear hug drill as a result of time inefficiencies I do believe this is as a result of inexperience in teaching the material in a format relevant to children. This lack of knowledge of a path resulted in excess time on some explanation and avoidance of others. Choice Speech Drill: there is room for improvement for the choice speech drill, more info is required. A proper format on how to execute this drill effectively is necessary. In the actual seminar, the scenario for the verbal defuse was a kidnapping attempt. In hind site this probably was too heavy emotional content for the first time. a school bullying scenario is better for that purpose. It is important to remain open minded to the children in the seminar as they can actually show you the best what to teach them. The use of cartoon characters, particularly superheroes, and detectives are effective crossreferences for the children. Many television shows WERE utilized to crenate an understanding for the children. ( Fineus and Ferb were particularly instrumental in this process. Each of the children were given their own detective names to aid in their envisioning and helping them to be imaginative and creative.

The childrens energy, focus and attention to the details was very high. All the children were excited to answer all questions and play active roles in the participation of the drills. There was a high demand for physical work. SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT Information should be provided to parents to assist in their preparation of the children during the week or time frame contact is broken with the kids. Parents must be briefed before and after kids class. Next class must have an assistant instructor and we must make it memorable and, fun and physical.
