FINAL REPORT

HOTEL RESERVATION SYSTEM

Introduction
This is the project we worked on to fulfill the basic needs for reservation system of any hotel . We tried our best to make the complicated process
of Hotel Reservation System as simple as possible using Structured & Modular technique & Tab oriented interface. We made such software/GUI which is very easy to operate; the user may need not to have any previous experience. The main purpose of our project is to perform each Employees (who reserves rooms) activity in computerized way rather than manually which is time consuming. We have confident that this software package can be readily used by non-programming personal avoiding human handled chance of error. This project is used by two types of users: 1) Software Users (Assistants etc.) 2) Administrator (Management of the Hotel) User can do reservation, cancellation, view room availability ,logout easily. Administrator can also updating room (adds a new room, add a room in category, add new category and delete room) , updating user(add new user, add new admin, change user password , change own password and change sale tax) and views sales reports(weakly ,monthly ,yearly) in graphical style(Line chart ,2D bar chat). The main aim of the entire project is to automate the process of day to day activities of the hotel like room activities, admission of a new customer, Assigning a room according to customers demand, checkout of a customer and releasing the room and finally compute the bill.

Hierarchy OF PROJECT
1st User login if userId and password are correct(by checking from hotel database from user Table ) than user come on home page otherwise error occur but user forgot Password ,we put facility for him to change his password by applying a secrete code given to them at the time of their registration in the software package. On home page, different tab pane occurs. On home tab pane there is description of hotel and also fact of hotel are written.

Description about the Hotel

RESERVATION:On Reservation tab pane user can do reservation . We divide reservation into to steps. 1st step user get arrival date , departure date and personal information of customer . 2nd step user view the categories of available rooms to customer and select the room on customer demand. 3rd step charge of room report is create but user can compromise the charge customer give payment by credit cash or by credit card. Than customer data is saved in database also all accept are save.

A pop up Calender appears on clicking the indicated button to choose arrival and departure dates:

Room Types

The check boxes are to select the room, the available-room panel shows the rooms available i.e not reserved.

After clicking the finish button, a receipt is generated containing the reservation ID and other reservation details.

Cancellation / Check out:On cancellation tab pane two type of functionality are available 1. Cancellation If any one come for cancelling the reservation than user can ask customerId and search if it is available in database than get charges and cancel the reservation. 2. Check out If customer leaving the hotel than user ask id search it from data base if avaible than data shown on screen and bill report from database is created on screen than after paying bill checkout successfully.

By clicking Cancelation Button the reservation is cancelled and charges are casted accordingly. Similary in the Select task, when Check-out is selected the final bill is generated.

Room Information:RoomInfo tab pane show the available rooms with category and its description with their prices. If Administrator login than some more tab pane shown on screen.

Room Rent per night = $120

Setting:In setting tab pane there are two functionality of admin 1. Update room :- Admin can add a new room , delete a room, change room category , add a new category ,add new sale Tax; 2. Update user :- Admin can add a new user , add a new admin, delete a user , change user password also change own password On clicking update Button all date is update in database.

On Update Tab, Admin can add a new Admin, change his password, change a users password, delete a user and add a user.

Report :In report tabe pane admin can view reports of weekly , 15day ,monthly and year. In form of graphs(Line chart or Bar chart) by giving intail date. A report sample is shown here:

Conclusion: In conclusion, we want to say what we learnt; really it was a practical kind of exposure for us and many difficulties in between paved the path to a well project at last. We hope, now we have the ability that was required from you at the end.
