POLITICAL GRAVITY
We are very excited to announce that MOPP was recently granted access to a phenomenal new database tool, Voter Gravity for use during this election seasonand beyondas we work to grow our impact/influence on the precinct level. Gravity is a powerful tool that allows us to create a reliable voter database for Get Out the CONSERVATIVE Vote/GOTCV efforts. More details are available later in this publication. th We are actively seeking volunteers to help make phone calls and/or do door to door canvassing/lit drops in order to GOTCV on November 6 . Please contact us at 314-717-1411 or email us at missouriprecinctproject@gmail.com for more information on how you can make a difference in this very important election!

TRUE THE VOTE UPDATE

You may recall that MOPP is working with True the Vote to ensure integrity of the election process. In St. Louis County, MOPP is recruiting poll challengers to be present at specific polls where questionable individuals have been identified that are registered in more than one location. We would like to point these individuals out to the Poll Supervisors. If you would like to volunteer to be a poll challenger, please contact us at 314-717-1411 or email us at missouriprecinctproject@gmail.com.

POLL WORKERS STILL NEEDED IN ST. LOUIS COUNTY

SPECIAL NOTE: The St. Louis County Election Board is still in need of poll workers. If you would like to volunteer for this most important role in the election process, contact http://www.stlouisco.com/YourGovernment/Elections/PollWorkers or call 314-615-1804. If you live In another county that has all of its poll worker positions filled, and you would like to volunteer in St. Louis County you can do so by getting permission from you local election board/county clerks office. FYI..You will need to declare a party affiliation to be a poll worker. historically Democrats usually have enough poll workers, but Republicans fall short in which case they can assign Democrats to fill Republican poll worker positions for the day.

MISSOURIANS FOR A CONSERVATIVE SENATE

MOPP has joined with a number of other grassroots groups and individuals to form a coalition called Missourians for a Conservative Senate. The goal of the group is to Defeat McCaskill and hopefully be another cog in the wheel to retire Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader. Many activities, events and get out the vote efforts are being coordinated statewide in order to accomplish these goals. More details later in this issue.

FAMILY RESEARCH COUNCIL BUS TOUR

Starting on Sunday, October 28, Family Research Council/FRC will begin a week long bus tour in Hannibal, through the State of Missouri, ending on November 2 in Kansas City. The tour is the Repeal and Replace McCaskill tour. More details of the tour are available later in this issue. In the event of last minute changes after this issue goes out, you can see the most up to date agenda for the tour by visiting www.nomccaskill.org. If the tour comes to your area, you are encouraged to come out and join the festivities. Confirmed speakers at selected stops include Bev Ehlen of CWA, Michelle Moore of St. Louis Tea Party and Smart Girl Politics, former U.S. Rep from Colorado Marilyn Musgrave, Phyllis Schlafly of Eagle Forum and several other surprise speakers.

THE MOPP PHILOSOPHY v. ENDORSEMENTS

In this issue you will find MOPP endorsements for various candidates and issues. Please note that these are merely recommendations and we urge ALL readers/subscribers/members NOT to base your decisions on one sources opinions. It is imperative that you DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK! MOPP is committed to working within the framework of the 2 party system that exists currently, especially in this election cycle, when a third party candidate could diminish our chances for victory. We are frankly not happy with either party, but of the 2, we feel the one that comes closest to being salvageable is the Republican Party. Therefore, at this juncture, we are dedicated to utilizing the precinct strategy to work within the Republican Party, from the ground up, to make it more reflective of grassroots conservative principles and values...we believe we need to BE the party!. For this reason, our endorsements lean heavily toward the Republican ticket; however, we are pleased to note that quite a few of those running on the Republican ticket, and whom we are endorsing, have come out of the grassroots movement, so we are making positive strides and this is a step in the right direction. Rememberwe did not get here overnightit will take time to turn the time! Per Frieda Keough/MOPP St. Louis County Coordinator: A separate memo will go out shortly to our contacts with recommendations regarding judgeship and ballot issues specific to St. Louis County.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY APPOINTS A NEW ELECTIONS DIRECTOR

State Rep. Gary Fuhr, R-South County was recently appointed as the new Republican elections director. Fuhr replaces former Republican elections director Joe Goeke. His appointment was approved by a vote of the four election commissioners, Dick Kellet, who is the chairman, and Julie Jones, Ann Pluemer and John Siscel. By law, the election board must have a Democratic and Republican member in place for general elections. The election board's Democratic judge is Rita Heard Days. Fuhr has said, "My goal will be to work for the citizens of the county to continue to develop credibility in the election process." Fuhr spoke at the October St. Louis County Central Committee meeting where he spoke about the requirements for the election. The committee people present asked him lots of questions and to a (wo)man they were impressed by his knowledge about the process and rules. (h/t Frieda Keough)

LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN

Below you will find an email from Jim Holland to encourage folks across the State to participate in a "letters to the editor" campaign...it is a "cheap", effective way to spread the word... (Jim serves as MOPP County Coordinator for Callaway County)
Greetings, My initial goal of writing a different letter to the editor each day until election has been derailed by . . . just stuff, distractions, family duties, bad cold, and an over-load of topics to write about. There is just so much garbage being dumped on us each day, it's getting hard to keep up. You don't suppose that old age has anything to do with it, do you? I have posted a new crop of letters on the Patriots Dream Team web site... http://patriotsdreamteam.com/conservatives-wanted/letters-to-theeditor/. Just scan the list, pick one and cut and paste away, It's my hope that people around the state will feel free to take these letters and make them their own. Re-write them to suit their style or just put their name on it and post it in their local paper. It is my intent to write a letter each day that echos the message coming from the Akin campaign or is relevant to current events. We must work to educate our neighbors on the dangers of one more term for Claire McCaskill. Even if Romney is elected, he can only effect a delaying action as long as the "Demonrats" control the Senate. Letters to the editor is a very efficient and cost effective method of spreading the word and influencing our neighbors. If you know anyone who might help with letters to the editor, Thanks in advance. Pick a letter, any letter and start posting. Set a few "brush fires in the minds of your fellows" in your corner of the state. Note: Guidelines for letters to the Editor can be found under Resources. And please feel free to forward to your likely "suspects" list.

HERES WHY IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE DEFEAT CLAIRE MCCASKILL.

A Message from U.S. Senator Jim DeMint. You may remember the slogan "It's the economy, stupid" used by Bill Clinton during the 1992 presidential campaign to make the point that George H. W. Bush had not adequately addressed the economy. Clinton's political strategist, James Carville, posted the phrase inside campaign headquarters as a way to keep the team focused and on message. The phrase later became the de facto slogan for the Clinton election campaign. The slogan is relevant again in 2012 as Americans consider Barack Obama's dismal economic record, but if you consider yourself a freedom-loving American, I have a different slogan for you. "It's the Senate, stupid." Most Americans are focused on the presidential race right now, but winning the White House -- as critical as it is -- won't be enough to save the country we love without a strong, conservative majority in the United States Senate.

o o o o o

Without a conservative Senate, we won't repeal Obamacare. Without a conservative Senate, we won't balance the budget. Without a conservative Senate, we won't secure our borders Without a conservative Senate, we won't stop the bailouts. And without a conservative Senate, we won't enact the pro-growth policies needed to get America back to work. Be Smart. Change the Senate.

If you're reading this letter, chances are, you follow current events more closely than most and you probably understand the point I'm making -- winning the Senate is key to restoring America's greatness. The simple fact of the matter is this: a Republican president without a conservative Senate is a waste of a Republican president. A president can campaign on good policies, but he doesn't write the bills. As long as liberals are in charge of writing legislation, it will be difficult for a Republican president to sign the right bills into law. Does anyone think Harry Reid will ever send a bill to the President's desk to repeal ObamaCare? The answer is "no" and that's why I am focused on sending strong conservatives to the Senate who will make that a reality.

FYI/ACTION ITEM:
Even if you didnt vote for Todd Akin in the primary, the fact remains he is now the Partys candidatewe believe it is imperative that we support Akin in his Senate race, in order to Defeat McCaskill and to make Missouri one of the States to potentially retire Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader. The grassroots is working diligently to fill the vacuum created by the powers that be (i.e. Karl Rove, Reince Preibus) when the party abandoned Mr. Akin. A coalition of Missouri grassroots organizations and individuals under the umbrella of Missourians for a Conservative Senateand others including Women for Akin, Eagle Forum, Family Research Council, the NRA, David Barton, Missouri Right to Life, Concerned Women for America, among others have endorsed Mr. Akin (for a complete list of endorsements, go here: https://www.akin.org/endorsements) While McCaskill votes with/for Obamas policies 98% of the time, Mr. Akin enjoys an excellent conservative record and would vote to eliminate Obamacare. Go here for details https://www.akin.org/grade-card

September 28, 2012 ST. LOUIS COUNTY State Rep. Gary Fuhr, R-South County, was appointed this afternoon as St. Louis County's new Republican elections director. Fuhr replaces former Republican elections director Joe Goeke. Fuhr, 64, lost his house seat to redistricting this year. He is a retired FBI agent who also had worked as a police officer in the city of St. Louis. His appointment was approved by a vote of the four election commissioners, Dick Kellet, who is the chairman, and Julie Jones, Ann Pluemer and John Siscel.

Election boards in St. Louis and St. Louis County are seeking poll workers for the Nov. 6 general election. It takes 5,112 workers to staff all available positions in St. Louis County, and several hundred more in the city. Rita Days, St. Louis County's Democratic elections director, said the county still needs about 800 people. Of particular need:
o o Democrats who live in or can travel to Fenton, Eureka, Wildwood, Ballwin and Des Peres. Republicans who can fill some 300 positions throughout the county.

Days said turnout in St. Louis County could be greater than 75 percent, and there are more than 685,000 registered voters. "This is a huge election," she said. "We really want people to exercise their constitutional right to vote." Polling stations need a balance of workers from each of the political parties. Gary Stoff, Republican elections director for the city's election board, said enough poll workers have been hired to meet statutory requirements, but the board always is looking for more people regardless of their political party affiliation. "Everybody is welcome," he said. Pay for St. Louis County poll workers is $130 to $180, including a day of training and working on election day. Pay in the city of St. Louis ranges from $75 to $100 for election day, plus $14 for training. Both boards have ongoing training at various times. Poll workers must: Be at least 18 years old.

Have registered to vote in Missouri. Declare a political party. Republicans and Democrats are needed most. Workers will need to report to the polls between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Election Day and be available to stay after polls close at 7 p.m., Days said. If voters are in line at 7 p.m., they have the right to vote. For more information on being a poll worker in St. Louis County, call Lori Wrobel at 314-615-1840 or Sally Shaw at 314-615-1965. Information also is available on the election board's website. For more information on being a poll worker in St. Louis, call 314-622-4336 or visit the website.

ACTION ITEM St. Louis City and St. Louis County are still in need of poll workers. Note: If enough Republicans do not volunteer, Democrats can be Republicans for a day. To help with the shortage, we are encouraging folks who live outside these areas, to volunteer to be a poll worker in these locationsyou will just need to first get written permission from your countys election board/county clerk. Make sure you have enough poll workers in your county by contacting your countys election board or county clerk.

Missouri Precinct Project has been partnering with True the Vote in the State of Missouri. John Putnam, MOPP County Coordinator for Jasper County, serves as State Coordinator for TTV and MOPP organizer and MOPP County Coordinator for St. Louis County, Frieda Keough, have been working overtime on this project. Here is an update on True the Vote from Frieda
Many of you might have heard about True the Vote, an organization out of Texas that started as a Tea Party organization, King Street Patriots (www.kingstreetpatriots.org), who, like the Missouri Precinct Project/MOPP, had the goal of getting more people involved in the political process at the grassroots level. Today, True the Vote must be doing something right. They are featured on national talk shows, like MSNBC and other lefty organizations because they are fighting voter fraud. And they are doing this by reviewing the registered voter databases in various states and providing questionable data to the entities responsible for maintaining registered voter data. Missouri is one of the states that True the Vote has targeted to clean up the Registered Voter database, primarily in St.Louis County, partially because it is the largest county with the most registered voters. MOPP has signed up to a partner with True the Vote. Several of our volunteers have been reviewing data and submitting questionable voter records to the St. Louis County Board of Election. And I must say we are very encouraged by the response we have gotten from the new Republican Director of the Board of Election, Gary Fuhr. But this effort will need to continue well beyond the election. It would take 20-30 researchers to review all voter records in St. Louis County taking probably close to a year to accomplish this task. So if you are looking for things to do after the election - become a volunteer for True the Vote and help clean up the voter rolls. RememberNovember is always coming!

About True The Vote Unfortunately, Americans have lost faith in the integrity of our nation's election results and fraud and law-breaking has become all too common in our electoral system. We hope to change that perception. True the Vote is a citizen-led effort to restore truth, faith, and integrity to our elections. Mission Statement True the Vote is an initiative developed by citizens for citizens, meant to inspire and equip volunteers for involvement at every stage of our electoral process. We promote ideas that actively protect the rights of legitimate voters, regardless of their political party affiliation. We are working to restore integrity to the American system of electing its leaders. With True the Vote, we have, "deconstructed the entire process, focusing on educating voters, examining the registry, recruiting, training and mobilizing election workers and poll watchers, training how to collect data all along the way, then use the data to shape government action and legislative agendas to support desperately needed election code reform." Our government was built upon the belief that election results represent the true will of the people and our election processes were always intended to be supported by citizen volunteers. We are helping stop corruption where it can start at the polls. Our initiatives include:

Mobilizing and training volunteers who are willing to work as election monitors Aggressively pursuing fraud reports to ensure prosecution when appropriate Providing a support system for our volunteers that includes live and online training, quick reference guides, a call bank to phone in problem reports, information on videotaping at polling places, and security as necessary Creating documentaries and instructional videos for use in recruiting and training Raising awareness of the problem through strategic outreach efforts including advertising, social networking, media relations, and relational marketing Voter registration programs and efforts to validate existing registration lists, including the use of pattern recognition software to detect problem areas

Who is True The Vote? Based in Houston, Texas and headed by Catherine Engelbrecht (President), True The Vote is staffed by volunteers all across the country. Essentially, True The Vote is you and me. Every day Americans interested in the integrity of the elections in the home district.

ACTION ITEM
MOPP is recruiting Poll Challengers to be present at specific polls where we have identified questionable individuals that are registered in more than one location. We would like to point these individuals out to the Poll Supervisors. We have the approval of the Republican Director of the Board of Elections to do this. So if you are looking for things to do after the election - become a volunteer for True the Vote and help clean up the voter rolls.

VOTER FRAUD: THE WAY TO AMERICA'S DESTRUCTION

Exclusive: Chuck Norris warns election scandals could shred fabric of our republic by CHUCK NORRIS Does voter fraud actually exist? If you ask the Obama administration, Democratic lawmakers or the left-leaning media, they often argue its a myth concocted by Republicans to suppress Democratic turnout. Even U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has called voter fraud a problem that does not really exist. But what you wont see in the headlines of many of the nations leading newspapers is the series of explosive, eye-opening investigations by patriot James OKeefe and his nonprofit organization, Project Veritas. In scandalous footage captured by a Project Veritas videographer, a top Obama campaign worker gleefully helps an undercover reporter cast a ballot for the president in two states. The reporter identifies herself as an Obama supporter who has illegally registered to vote in Florida and Texas and plans to vote in both places. Organizing for America Regional Field Director Stephanie Caballero a salaried employee of the Democratic National Committee in Houston, Texas offers to print out a ballot the reporter can mail to Florida. Oh my God, this is so funny, Caballero says. Its cool though. She even offered advice on what to do if caught by authorities: If anyone checks, say I dont know. Caballero was fired after the videos release, but only after House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Lamar Smith demanded the Obama campaign and DNC terminate staffers who engage in voter fraud. However, this was no isolated incident. Project Veritas latest effort in Texas, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut shows Obama campaign workers helping people who say they want to commit election fraud. In my April 15 column, I wrote about similar investigations in Minnesota, New Hampshire and Vermont, where OKeefe obtained election ballots by using celebrity names like Tom Brady, Tim Tebow and even some of the 1.8 million people who are deceased but still registered voters. In fact, more video proof from Holders own voting precinct in Washington, D.C., revealed voter fraud is alive and well in the nations capital. Just last week, OKeefe declared, Weve got tapes across the country that were in the process of releasing that show that really nobody, nobody said, This is a problem. We cant help you with this. Its always, Well look the other way. Well keep our mouth shut. Here you go. Not a problem. And at the highest levels locally, the people who run these offices not having an ultimate problem with it is, I think, criminal. OKeefe has promised to release more videos as long as the Obama campaign, Congress, governors, attorneys general and the mainstream media continue to downplay and ignore his investigations. Obama campaign staffers are only doing what they are told and emulating what they see as right and acceptable from their leaders at the top. They are following orders. The old saying, Show me your friends and Ill show you your future, could not be more true. As if that isnt enough to undermine the integrity of our elections process, the Obama administration is doing its best to nullify state laws enacted to prevent voter fraud. At least 23 states currently have or are considering laws to require voter IDs, tighten registration requirements or remove ineligible voters from registration rolls. As WND reported, the Advancement Project a powerful group with leaders who have donated tens of thousands of dollars to the Obama campaign and DNC has also been waging a war against voter ID laws. These common-sense laws safeguard election integrity by simply requiring a voter to present identification before casting a ballot, and most of our citizens approve of them. According to a new Washington Post poll, voter ID laws have support from 74 percent of Americans. Its no wonder these laws receive so much support from the public. The problem of voter fraud is widespread: In August, the Colorado Secretary of States Office sent out 4,000 letters to people on its voter rolls who are possible noncitizens ineligible to vote. In September, the Florida Department of State identified 198 suspected noncitizens who were illegally registered to vote. In two Ohio counties, the number of people currently registered to vote exceeds the voting-age population, according to the Columbus Dispatch. At least one out of every five registered Ohio voters is likely to be ineligible to cast a ballot. True the Vote, a Houston-based election integrity group, has notified 160 counties across the nation that there are more voters on registration rolls than eligible voters in each county.

VOTER FRAUD: THE WAY TO AMERICA'S DESTRUCTIONCONTINUED

In February, the Pew Center said it found 2.8 million people with active registrations in more than one state. According to Project Veritas, investigators contacted the North Carolina Board of Elections and presented it with a list of 30,000 residents who died between 2002 and 2012 and are still registered to vote. (And thats in a state Obama won by only 14,000 votes in 2008!)

Election fraudsters often get away with these tactics because good citizens dont get involved in efforts to ensure Americans enjoy a secure system of elections. Fortunately for Americans who wish to preserve election integrity in our nation, there are ways you can help stop voter fraud. What can you do? Participate in the process! America needs good, honest citizens at its polls, so volunteer to be a poll watcher in your precinct. You can also sign up for True the Votes poll volunteer program. Speak up when you encounter a case of possible voter fraud, manipulation or intimidation. Report suspected fraud to election officials, members of the media and your lawmakers. Support voter ID laws in your state. Demand that your representatives in Congress exercise their constitutional duty of oversight and investigate cases of voter fraud across the nation. Put pressure on your state lawmakers to require verification of voters citizenship status using the U.S. Department of Homeland Securitys Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements database, which is used to check immigration status for federal-benefit programs. In states where fraud is rampant, lawmakers must be pressured to establish task forces to investigate this serious problem. State and federal judges have blocked or postponed implementation of voter ID laws in South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin. Its time to take a stand and pressure every governor and state attorney general to fight to have such voter ID rulings overturned because of the pervasiveness of this problem. The system cannot be trusted! Go to EndVoterFraudNow.com and sign Project Veritas open letter to Attorney General Eric Holder demanding that he ensure enforcement of all federal and state laws passed to protect the integrity of Americas electoral system effective immediately. Finally, send this information to every voter you know to give it maximum possible impact and help safeguard the integrity of Americas election process.

Does voter fraud actually exist? Yes! And it threatens the very fabric of our constitutional republic. In America, voting is a privilege that belongs only to citizens who are qualified to vote. We have the right to safeguard it at all costs.

OUR CONGRESSMAN DID WHAT?

Can you imagine working at the following Company? It has a little over 500 employees with the following statistics: * 29 have been accused of spousal abuse * 7 have been arrested for fraud * 19 have been accused of writing bad checks * 117 have bankrupted at least two businesses * 3 have been arrested for assault * 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit * 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges * 8 have been arrested for shoplifting * 21 are current defendants in lawsuits * In 1998 alone, 84 were stopped for drunk driving Can you guess which organization this is? It's the 535 members of your United States Congress. The same group that perpetually cranks out hundreds upon hundreds of new laws designed to keep the rest of us in line.

ITS ALL ABOUT THE TURNOUT AND EVERY VOTE COUNTS Did you know that 14% of Americans think theyre registered to vote, but they arent? Did you know that in Missouri in 2008 there was only a 3,903 vote difference between the presidential candidates? There are 3,428 precincts in Missourithat = 1+ per precinct that could have changed the outcome

REMEMBER:

"A vote not cast is a vote against your preference." - Roger W Hancock

When you do not vote, by default you cast your vote against the person or proposal you would prefer. When you do not vote, that vote is one less the opposition has to overcome, thus your "no vote" is a vote for them. The inconveniences of voting are just a small price to pay for the liberty we enjoy. Get up, Get out and vote! (reprinted from: http://www.poetpatriot.com/timeline/tmln-1vote-Intlothr.htm#Power of one vote)

(Further details about this type of challenge and how to accomplish this goal can be seen on the next page from The Manhattan Project.)

15

The Manhattan Project

The Manhattan Project is a Get Out The Vote (GOTV) program designed to attract citizens who either don't vote at all or tend to vote infrequently. In Missouri in 2008 nearly 1.3M citizens did not vote in the election. The concept is simple: 1 activist finds 2 low or zero propensity voters and shepherd them through the voting process until the activist is 100% certain they have voted. This can be done through the state absentee ballot program or by taking them to the polls. If the individual is registered (check here to find out: http://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/voterlookup/ or http://areyouregistered.org/ ) and does not qualify for an absentee ballot MAKE SURE to take them to the polling place. If the individual qualifies for an absentee ballot the activist fills it out for them has them sign it and take or mail it to the county clerk. http://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/s_default.asp?id=absentee

The key to the program is for activists to be sure that their 2 individuals actually vote. The election may be won by turning out just a few new voters.

Below is a heartfelt letter from a Tea Party Activist Grandma sharing her thoughts to her Grandchildren as we approach the upcoming electiona message many in the grassroots can relate to.

I know that youve been pretty busy lately, just like the rest of the world, and I know that you find politics probably one of the most uninteresting subjects in lifeAs you know, I have been out on the streets in rallies/protests against the policies of this current Administration for the last 3-1/2 years. The Tea Party Conservative Movement has swept this entire nation and has made a historical difference in the political landscape of America. I am proud to be a part of this movement and I hope that you are proud of me for it as well. I am asking that you please support my dedicated efforts to make America a better place for you, your children and their children by VOTING! I NEED YOUR HELP!. I cannot do this alone. lifetimean This election is the most important election of OUR lifetimean election where the direction of our great country will be decided. will we be a nation of people who will continue the pursuit of Life, Liberty, Freedom and Happiness by our OWN merits of accomplishment & integrity.. ORwill the OF American people vote for the GOVERNMENT TO TAKE CARE OF US from the cradle to the grave and live under GOVERNMENT suppressions as do many countries around the world? A government that GIVES everything to its people is also a government that can TAKE everything away! There is nothing FREE in this world! Many have DIED for YOUR FREEDOM! America is going BROKE! If we continue down the same path as we have been over the last 3-1/2 years, you will no longer know the Freedom & Liberty in America that you were born under. I am very much AFRAID of whats in store for America if we dont change the course and do it NOW! Time is of the essence and the ability to change our course is as wellnext year will be too late! The damage done thus far will be IRREVERSIBLE! I NEED you to help ME HELP YOUfor your future! My life is nearly over, but you have many years ahead of you. Please help me to make those future years good and prosperous years for you so that you can give your children and their children a nation like the one YOU & I grew up inone with HOPE for the future of a better life for all.

MOPP Policy Statement: MOPP is committed to working within the framework of the 2 party system that exists currently, especially in this election cycle, when a third party candidate could diminish our chances for victory. For this reason, our endorsements lean heavily toward the Republican ticket; however, we are pleased to note that quite a few of those running on the Republican ticket, and whom we are endorsing, have come out of the grassroots movement, so we are making positive strides and a step in the right direction. Rememberwe did not get here overnightit will take time to reverse the tide.

Is GOP Part of the Problem?

September 14, 2012 at 5:00 am / by Lisa Payne- Naeger

As we approach the most important election of our nations history, the power struggle between the people and oppressive government becomes clearer and more consequential. While it seems that the 2012 election will be an election of referendums against the current slide into socialism, propelled by the left wing political structure, there is another equally important, struggle going on between the people and the Republican Party, who seems just as interested in seizing power at the expense of the populace. And its happening in all levels of government, right under our noses. During the Republican National Convention, grassroots received the message, loud and clear, that their contribution to the selection process was not welcome. In a power play move, by the GOP, a change in the convention rules was railroaded through the voting process and many retellings of dirty tricks stories accompanied the setting. According to Freedomworks the changes in rules allow the RNC to circumvent rules adopted at national conventions, giving campaigns unprecedented control in delegate selection and the ability to shape the national platform for self-benefit. Additionally, the president will now have the power to disavow any elected delegates they deem unsuitable or unfit. Despite lobbying from delegates at the convention, and citizens at home, the establishment GOP pushed through the initiatives in what could only be described as a questionable voting process, reminiscent of tactics used in the caucuses like the Raucous Caucus in Missouri. Moving to the state level, we, here in Missouri, have been struggling with a state wide/national assault on the peoples voice/choice. Todd Akin went from being the states hope for gaining another Republican seat in the senate, and knocking Claire McCaskill off her pro Obamacare perch, to being a national controversy, over one misspoken sentence, in an interview with a local television journalist. Because Akin wasnt the establishment choice in the three-way primary, the National GOP immediately launched an organized and fierce attack against him, and pulled all financial support, in an effort to pressure him to drop from the race, so a replacement could be appointed. Appointed by the GOP, of course. Establishment GOP made if very clear, that those who dont play by establishment rules arent invited to play at all. Reince Priebus punctuated that point at the RNC. Why the fierce and deliberate attempts to quash Akins career and senatorial race? Akin has a history of voting against party on some conservative issues. One of his first votes at a congressman was against GW Bushs No Child Left Behind. While Akin is once again gaining support across the state, in recent polling, attacks from establishment Republicans continue. Karl Rove, in another unfortunate misstatement, attacked Akin in a very threatening way. However, when you are establishment GOP, you are given a pass. Rove made a comment suggesting that Akin be murdered, and a reporter picked up the statement. And while he has been roundly admonished by prominent conservative supporters, like Phyllis Schlafly and Mike Huckabee, Rove isnt receiving nearly the media attention or widespread calls to resign as did Akin. Whats good for the goose is not always good for the gander in Republican politics, but perhaps karma could be a problem. If you were thinking Republican politics on local levels are immune to bureaucratic power grabs, guess again. One such assault on the peoples right to direct government is growing in St. Charles County, Missouri. It would seem County Executive, Steve Ehlmann, is trying to crown himself king. In an unusual but not unheard of move, in Ehlmanns county there is another attempt to take the voters out of the process and consolidate power and authority, and they are trying to justify it by letting the voters decide. During the last few County Council meetings, there have been a few initiatives rammed through the process in a swift and grand manner. Ehlmann wants to change the foundation of the St. Charles Charter by changing the law enforcement structure from an elected Sheriff to an appointed Chief of Police. This wasnt his idea, however. It was the idea of the current Sheriff, who has worked for the department for the last 30 years. While St. Charles County voters have had no problems electing a sheriff in the past, suddenly, the current sheriff feels politics play too much of a roll in department activity, and the citizens would be better served by a Chief of Police who only answers to the County Executive. Needless to say, the Deputies dont like the idea, and neither do a fast growing number of residents in St. Charles County. The saga doesnt end there. Ehlmann also wants to acquire oversight of all county employees. Even the ones working under elected office holders. So, tell me again why we would need to elect anyone, in St. Charles County, except Steve Ehlmann if this ballot measure passes? All of the afore mentioned illustrations of power overreach should not be acceptable to any liberty loving, small government, conservative. Why would any American consider these actions appropriate behavior from political leadership, leaders to whom they look to stop the socialistic agenda of the left? All of these actions are coming from Republicans. Its time, folks, to wake up and pay attention to your elected. We are slipping ever closer into the dark depths of a socialistic, totalitarian existence. Its happening on every level of government, and unless the citizens, voters and most importantly, conservatives engage, we are looking at a very different future that doesnt even closely resemble a republic.

41 MILLION TEA PARTY SUPPORTERS SET TO VOTE

by DUSTIN HAWKINS 28 Sep 2012, 12:52 PM

The Tea Party is regularly ridiculed and declared "dead" by the mainstream press and their elitist allies in Washington and Hollywood. Not surprisingly, when Tea Partiers show up and rally by the thousands, they get all but ignored, while 30 Occupy Wall Street crazies in masks will always get wall-to-wall coverage and admiration. TV shows and movies take cheap shots at Tea Party conservatives, often linking them to murder-of-the-week cases on insipid crime procedurals or dismissing them as birthers. But a new Associated Press poll shows tea party supporters may have the last laugh in November. The AP/GFK poll shows that 31% of likely voters consider themselves Tea Party supporters. With 131 million votes cast in the 2008 elections, that translates into an incredible voting bloc of 41 million Tea Party supporters waiting to cast ballots. These voters have already made their voices heard in Wisconsin earlier this year, as well as in Republican primaries in Texas and Nebraska. That 31% of likely voters figure is greater than the 19% who described themselves as either strongly or somewhat liberal. Surprisingly, liberals have escaped media characterization as being a small, fringe-like group with little power or influence. At 19% of likely voters, selfdescribed liberals would have a turnout of 25 million voters, some 16 million fewer voters than the Tea Party. The good news for Mitt Romney and other Republican hopefuls is that the Tea Party supporters also appear ready to turn out in much higher numbers than all other voters. For instance, while they only made up 23% of the initial polling sample, which was a sample of all adults, their numbers improve as unlikely voters were removed by the AP from the data. When unregistered and unlikely voters were taken out of the poll, their share of the vote increased by 35%, to nearly one-third of the voting population. Meanwhile, self-described liberals fell 11% from the initial sample to the likely voter sample, while moderates increased by 3% and conservatives increased by 8%. This enthusiasm gap could make the difference in November. Once unregistered and unlikely voters were removed from the AP poll sample, Obamas share of the vote plummeted by 10%, while Romneys share of the vote increased by 28%. That support is driven, of course, by a supposedly dead movement. Overall, the poll shows a statistical tie with Obama at 47%, and Romney at 46%. from: Reprinted from: Set-to-Vote http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/09/28/41-Million-Tea-Party-Supporters-

Romney May Be the End of the Line for the Republican Establishment
A Commentary By Scott Rasmussen

Mitt Romney's comments about 47 percent of Americans being dependent on government and locked in to vote for President Obama highlight a fundamental reality in American politics today: The gap between the American people and the political class is bigger than the gap between Republicans and Democrats in Washington, D.C. Romney's remarks are the GOP equivalent of Obama's notorious comments about small-town Pennsylvania voters bitterly clinging to their guns and religion. Both Romney and Obama highlighted the condescending attitude that political elites hold of the people they want to rule over. A National Journal survey found that 59 percent of political insiders don't think voters know enough to have meaningful opinions on the important issues of the day. That's a handy rationalization for those who want to ignore the voters and impose their own agenda. In the nation's capital, this gap creates bigger problems for Republicans than Democrats. Democratic voters tend to think that their representatives in Congress do a decent job representing them. That's because Democrats are a bit more comfortable with the idea of government playing a leading role in American society. However, 63 percent of Republican voters believe their representatives in Washington are out of touch with the party base. Establishment Republicans in Washington broadly share the Democrats' view that the government should manage the economy. They may favor a somewhat more pro-business set of policies than their Democratic colleagues, but they still act as if government policy is the starting point for all economic activity. Republican voters reject this view. They are more interested in promoting free market competition rather than handing out favors to big business. They detest corporate welfare and government bailouts, even though their party leaders support them. The GOP base sees government as a burden that weighs the private sector down rather than a tool that can generate growth if used properly. Ninety-six percent of Republican voters believe that the best thing the government can do to help the economy is to cut spending and free up more money for the private sector. The Republican base is looking for someone like a 21st century Ronald Reagan, who will display his faith in the American people. The Washington Republicans are more comfortable with politicians like George W. Bush, Bob Dole, John McCain and Mitt Romney. Though the establishment has dominated the party since Reagan left the White House, the 2012 election could well be the end of the line. If Romney loses in November, the Republican base will no longer buy the electability argument for an establishment candidate. From the view of the base, the elites will have given away an eminently winnable election. Someone new, from outside of Washington, will be the party's nominee in 2016. If Romney wins and does nothing to change the status quo, the economy will falter. He will end up as the second straight one-term president, and the nation will desperately be searching for an authentic outsider in 2016.

If he [Romney] wins the White House, the only way for Romney to succeed will be to side with the nation's voters and throw out the club in Washington. That will be great news for the country but bad news for political insiders on both sides of the partisan aisle.

CONSERVATIVE NEWS FROM MISSOURIANS FOR A CONSERVATIVE SENATE

RV Campaign by Code Red USA and the Adopt-A-State Program "Please SHARE this with your 'like-minded' groups and friends... Code Red USA and the Adopt-A-State Program are looking for anyone outside of Missouri or in Missouri who is able to volunteer their RV (recreational vehicle) and their time towards unseating Sen. Claire McCaskill and the effort to WIN the US Senate. Each RV owner will be given a $1500 budget for gas (unleaded or diesel). Vinyl signage will be placed on the RV made from a 3M product that will not harm the finish of the RV. The RVs will be used as a mobile billboard and a mobile command center for phone banking and transporting volunteers for precinct Canvassing/Get Out The Vote efforts. Overnights will be paid by Code Red USA if it is the one sending the RV to another area and must be approved in advance. All meals are at the volunteers own expense. Our time is short and this is an ALL HANDS ON DECK moment! So if know you know of anyone please share this email with them and encourage them to participate. For more details please contact Kevin Maddy at kmaddy1618@aol.com Code Red USA organizes and unites grassroots groups in red states and activates them in key swing states for Get Out the Vote & Election Integrity efforts. " Next: Saturday Sign Waves "We have 4 more Saturdays before Election Day. While walking list are being organized and configured, sign waves are an easy activity and tend to be the most enjoyable for new grassroots activists. The key is to make it fun. For example meeting at a local diner, cafe, or donut shop for coffee or something to eat before you start. When volunteers are having fun they are more than likely to volunteer again. Signs can be professional Akin campaign sign or they can be homemade. Set up in areas and intersections that are high traffic, but don't be a distraction that will cause an accident. Weekends tend to work better for most people. Bring your family (children are always welcome) and remember to have fun. Signs wave have several results. They identify to voters who is the candidate running for office (however the Left and the Establishment have already helped to make Akin a national name). They indicate and demonstrate an enthusiastic support within the community. Finally, they persuade swing voters. Saturday morning would be great day to get started. Please contact and encourage groups and individuals within your congressional district. If you need help locating signs please contact the Akin Field Directors below. Also please tell them to take photos so we can post them to Facebook and Twitter. To defeat McCaskill this election it is going to take grassroots activists and funding in an effective one two punch. We have and continue to identify and unite conservative grassroot groups across Missouri, but now these groups must begin to activate within their own communities and counties. Addendum: Signs that say honk if you love LIBERTY seem to get response. Most will agree they like liberty even they can't tell you what that means. Also, a shout out to passerby to honk for Liberty will draw attention to the other signs. "

Absentee Ballots (The Manhattan Project) It is so important that everyone take part in this project that guarantees 100% of the voting process. Code Red Update

It is simple. Identify two likeminded people who for one reason or another are unable to make it to the ballot box on Election Day. You will then shepard them through the absentee ballot process. Step 1: Help them request an absentee ballot. Step 2: Help them complete the ballot. Step 3: Guarantee and help them cast the ballot properly. More details are attached in a document in this email. A number of Texans and others affiliated with Code Red will be coming here either the final weekend in October, or even in the last 96 hours before the election. They will be participating in GOTV efforts in US Congressional Districts 1, 2, 3, and 7.

#TeaParty: Greg Fettig Explains How Indiana Replaced Dick Lugar with Conservative Richard Mourdock

Greg Fettig co-founded Hoosiers for a Conservative Senate with Monica Boyer. Hoosiers for a Conservative Senate mobilized grassroots activists across Indiana with the goal of unseating incumbent establishment Republican Dick Lugar in the primary for US Senate and electing a conservative to replace him. Richard Mourdock defeated Lugar in Indiana's May 8th primary.

In this video, Fettig talks about how he and Boyer mobilized Indiana for the effort. He explains the hurdles they encountered along the way and how they overcame them. He lays out the strategy that grassroots activists followed in Indiana. He and Monica Boyer recognized the difficulty of organizing disparate grassroots groups across a large state.

To do so effectively, they set a single goal (defeat Lugar) and agreed to a caucus process by which the groups around the state would endorse one candidate.

Fettig has written a book, Tea Party on Safari, about what he, Boyer, and Hoosiers for a Conservative Senate accomplished in Indiana.

An analysis of Medicare by Kelly Pratt

(MOPP County Coordinator/Jefferson County)

Perusing various reports, and attacks regarding 'Ryan's Plan' vs Obama/Obamacare, I gathered this info. Let's all start on the same page, first:http://lnkd.in/2gjyCQ Also, reflect upon the fact that the current Medicare system is already on course for technical bankruptcy. As the latest Trustees Report notes: "The HI [Medicare] fund again fails the test of short-range financial adequacy, as projected assets are already below one year's projected expenditures and are expected to continue declining . . . The HI 75-year actuarial imbalance amounts to 36 percent of tax receipts or 26 percent of program cost." Ryan's Plan: For workers currently under the age of 55*, beginning in 2023, retirees could choose to continue with traditional feefor-service Medicare as it now exists OR they could choose to accept a premium support and shop for health insurance on their own. Plans would have to cover at least the actuarial equivalent of traditional Medicare and seniors who choose a cheaper plan would be eligible for a rebate. Seniors selecting a costlier plan would be responsible for the extra burden. Premium support would be amended for the sickest seniors and premium support would be means-tested so the poorest or sickest seniors could still access a private health insurance plan if they so choose. *Again, the Ryan plan DOES NOT AFFECT THOSE 55 AND OLDER - everything remains the same for this age group. OBAMA Obamacare's Medicare Value-Based purchasing program pays hospitals differently based on federal quality measures. This could lead to hospitals treating patients with the best value in Medicare reimbursement rather than the most effective treatment. Expanding Medicaid and cutting provider payments for Medicare providers will lead to shortages of doctors and much longer waits for health care. In Boston, under the near universal Romneycare, for example, the average wait to see a primary care physician is two months while the rest of the country's average wait is about three weeks. Many doctors, over-worked from administering all the new "free" Obamacare mandates, will decide to enter so-called "concierge" medical services. A patient would pay a yearly retainer in exchange for a doctor having a much smaller patient list and more access to the doctor for advice and medical visits. A typical family doctor currently sees 2,500 patients but by moving to concierge services, that doctor would now only take on about 500 -- leaving 2,000 patients to find a new doctor. Finally, Obamacare guts the popular Medicare Advantage program, where seniors can choose a health insurance policy that better fits their needs than the traditional Medicare plan does. GETTING INVOLVED IN YOUR PRECINCT

WHY:
Because we believe all politics is local Become involved at the local level to restore conservative values and principles that will then trickle UP to all levels of government MOPP is not the first to utilize this strategy Phyllis Schlafly implemented the precinct strategy to defeat the ERA 30+ years ago We believe that Missouri needed to join the ranks of other states with similar efforts, including Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Utah. We want to encourage Missourians across the State to work in their own communities and counties to make a difference

WHAT:
MOPPs 4 pronged strategy: 1. Key element (hence the name Missouri Precinct Project): Identify the 40-50% of the unfilled precinct/township committee positions in their county that go unfilled. (many of our members have filed to fill these positions across the state ie., St. Louis County stat, 35 new) 2. Get out the Conservative vote a. MOPP encourages its members to utilize our database (we are in the final stage of determining which program we will be using) to canvass their neighborhood to identify and register conservative voters, educate voters on issues and candidates and get them to the polls on election day. b. MOPP also partners with Champion The Voteencouraging our volunteers to become Champions in the Champion the Vote program to register unregistered Christian voters. (*in Missouri in 2008 there was only a 4000 difference between the 2 presidential candidatesthats a pretty close margin, but yet there are approximately 150,000 unregistered Christians in the State.) Go here to become a Champion http://championthevote.com/headquarters/missouri 3. 4. Encourage becoming a poll worker to help prevent voter fraud. Build and maintain a database in order to form a more effective coalition, united voice for Conservatives across the State

HOW:
Educate/Motivate 1. Precinct training seminar last October partnering with Dallas Tea Party and American Majority 2. Precinct Organizing and Preventing Voter Fraud training (Feb 2012) 3. Caucus Training Seminar 4. Training Manuals --Caucus 101 Handbook (We are very pleased at how many grassroots individuals participated in the recent caucuses, even though they have never been involved before) Note: MOPP will soon release 1) Precinct Training Manual and a 2. Becoming a Poll Worker manual. 5. Newsletter 6. Blast emails 7. Action alerts 8. Presentations to various groups statewide 9. Training Seminars

IN SUMMARY:
If we are ever to get control of our government and change the type of people we get into office and the control that bigmoney currently brings, we must get directly and actively involved at the grassroots level in the two-party system. It is not going to be easy, and it is not going to change overnight. But without this approach, we are simply reshuffling the chairs on the deck of the Titanic. Do we just want the furniture to look better before we crash into the iceberg, or do we want to change the ships course to prevent it from sinking?

Mission Statement
Restore Constitutional principles and conservative values by engaging conservatives in grassroots politics.
