Listen - while you clean house, exercise, work in the yard, drive, etc. Memorize Scriptures part of your study time is well spent taking time to internalize a powerful scripture Keep a Scripture Journal this helps to you pause & ponder over what you just read Study People as you read study person to person instead of chapter to chapter Study by Topic/Word from a word in a talk, from a verse, from the temple Read a General Conference Talk, and then study scriptures about it Unpack a verse word by word, line by line look to understand (unpack) the meaning of each word and phrase in the verse- use a scripture journal - write the first line study it, and continue to unpack Watch for repeated words or phrases, then study them, look them up in the Bible Dictionary and other verses using them in the Topical Guide & Index Ask a Question after each chapter ask yourself questions, exp: Where was Christ in this Chapter? What does this chapter teach me? How can this help me? Sunday School Lessons follow along and use the class member study guide Comparison compare 2 people, compare 2 words, compare the story with other scripture stories in other scriptures Imagine sit back and close your eyes, imagine the story coming alive, imagine yourself in the story - what would you do or how would you act? Teach now take what you have read and teach it to your family in FHE
