Performance Notes
The tempo of Rubato qd = ca.50 is meant to be a general guideline and I stress the value of the e = e in the second measure which will apply throughout the whole piece. At mm.47 with the introduction of the Lively! "B" section, there does not necessarily need to be a tempo change, but rather a shift in moods presented. The nature of the rhythms will inherently feel dance-like and should be played as felt by the performer. The "a sudden shift a capo" is meant as an immediate release from the "B" section and a return to the original feel of the piece. As always, have fun! the performer's interpretation of tempo in solo repertoire. Just make sure to note however
