Project - Samman

For Gandhi, the spirit and the soul of India rested in the village communities. He said, The true India is to be found not in its few cities, but in its seven hundred thousand villages. If the villages perish, India will perish too. Why India is a victim of disparity in treatment given to the rural and urban sector by both the capitalists and socialists? In the present scenario about 72 percent of India's billion-plus people live in rural areas and contributing only 30% to the national GDP. For years, the poverty of rural India was seen as reining in the country's economic growth and almost 41%people are below poverty line as per the international standards and almost 90.91 people are migrating from rural to urban areas. But on the other hand rural share of consumer goods ranging from 30% to 60% and is steadily growing, rural road connectivity increased from less than 40% in 2004 to at least 70%in 2008. 130 million rural skilled workers are still unemployed due to lack of opportunities. To provide a boost to our economy, we need to leverage the benefits of skilled labor, improved technological connectivity, huge market size and the untapped potentials of rural India. The plan focuses on the same. The core idea is an operational RURAL BPO. In short Business process outsourcing (BPO) is a subset of outsourcing that involves the contracting of the operations and responsibilities of specific business functions (or processes) to a third-party service provider. The rural BPO will function in the same way as the BPO do but with rural employees focused towards youth. The initial step in this regard is to select the potential village where we can train them and employ them according to their skill. This helps us to build strong relationships and ensure that attrition is minimal. Productivity and efficiency are driven by incentives linked to joint performance by each family. A guided training into basics of English, Computers, Microsoft Excel, etc. to be able to work in the rural BPO situated in that village. After this we will also try to hire voice and e-mail processes when the women are trained enough to work on those fronts. On the social grounds it helps in Empowering youth and women, curbing the problem of migration, improved standard of living, increase in literacy rate,

reduction in unemployment,

This socialistic Business plan look towards its feasibility through tapping up outsourcing contracts from the companies which have active participation in Corporate Social Responsibility. The cost effectiveness of the projects worked out in this manner would be substantially reduced which would be attractive for industry. In terms of feasibility in villages the know-how of village through the village head regarding demographic and basic government education infrastructure around it Taking into future prospects the business plan focusses on bringing the literacy and employment rate on parity with the urban segment of India This B-Plan aims not to be just profit driven but also in social upliftment of the society and also in bringing the rural India to the fore to increase the per capita income in that part of India.
