run eggs believe the chickens laying them have access to the outdoors. Reality Free range: chickens can run outside Free run: chickens can run freely within an enclosed space inside

Nearly 70 per cent of Canadians believe their dairy or beef cows and chickens have high levels of either artificial hormones, antibiotics or vaccines which make their way into the food chain. In reality, these there are a strict flushing and testing requirements set out by the CFIA before an animals products go for sale to ensure this doesnt happen Canadians on the West coast are more likely to buy organic food, while those living in the Prairies are least. In reality Health Canada assesses the safety of all genetically-modified foods in Canada and sets strict testing and procedural guidelines 34 per cent of Canadians didnt realize that meat and milk products must be tested for antibiotics and synthetic hormones before they can be sold in Canada. Not doing so is a serious offence for farmers, if the CFIA finds any level of hormones in the shipment a large fine will be laid on the farmer
