I. One POLIS, One Core Group: Strengthening Political CORE-lations a. Rate from 1 (complete failure) to 10 (total success) Rating: 8.5/10

Comments: The convening was well-attended and all organizations were represented, although it was noted that there could have been a muchorganized manner of electing the committee heads. This was resolved by emphasizing the administrative task of the committee heads.

b. Were the objectives and scheduled dates met? Yes Comments: The CORE Group was successfully able to elect the committee heads and be assigned to their respective committees. The SPOA for the summer semester was also discussed, and tasks were divided per committee. c. Point person(s)? Assess his/her/their performance on the project: N/A d. Points for improvement Invite non-affiliated Polsci majors per batch to be the batch heads Set rules for voting the committee heads and delineate tasks more clearly II. Advising Team a. Rate from 1 (complete failure) to 10 (total success) Rating: N/A Comments: Although the project has a laudable goal, the Department Undergrad Coordinator advised against pushing through with this because of accountability issues, despite its informal nature. It goes against the independence that the Department is trying to instill in its students, and besides, the doors of advisers are always open. Prof. Naval stressed that a fellow student would not be able to advise a fellow student, though at the very least the Dept. RAs (including the Political Science Department Representative) should be familiar with the curriculum once fellow Polsci majors may ask whatever enlistment-related questions. b. Assess his/her/their performance on the project Point Person(s): Prof. Naval,Politcal Science Undergrad Coordinator Assessment: very accommodating and was able to explain why he does not want to push through with the project d. Rate from 1 (complete failure) to 10 (total success) Rating: N/A Comments: This has yet to be established, since the reviewers are being finalized and the b. No Comments: The Department Representative did not foresee the amount of preparation it took to create a Facebook and Yahoogroups for the students of the department. c. Point person(s)? Rate from 1 (complete failure) to 10 (total success) Rating: 9.5 Comments: The core group was very active in collecting reviewers and readings for the revival of the Polsci Lib, which would take effect in the first semester. Almost all of the reviewers have been collected (all but Math11, which is to be submitted a core group member uses it ), while the readings were also collated. It has already been put in the inventory, and is waiting to be collected by the Educ Committee. b. Were the objectives and scheduled dates met? N/A Yes Comments: The core group need not contact the Math/ Econ orgs for help because they were willing to donate their old copies for the benefit of others. c. Point person(s)? Assess his/her/their performance on the project Point Person(s): Acad and Sec Committee Assessment: Giving separate tasks to these committees made finding the readings/ reviewers much faster and more effective. d. Points for improvement: Info dissem of the readings and reviewers available at the council for Polsci. FRAP: Freshie Reg Assistance Program a. Rate from 1 (complete failure) to 10 (total success) Rating: 9 Comments: The schedule for the freshmen to undergo their early registration was followed, despite the fact that there were about 60+ of them who came in the morning. All were advised by lunchtime, even if some of the advisers came in late or had to leave early. Some parents waited for their son/daughter in the third floor FC as well, and a few complained because their child have been waiting for too long/ it was too hot. b. Were the objectives and scheduled dates met? Yes Comments: The core group (through the four organizations) were able to make the freshmen feel at ease during the early reg, and the freshies seemed to find their ates and kuyas helpful. c. Assess his/her/their performance on the project Point Person(s): The core group (through the four organizations) Assessment: They were very accommodating and friendly to the freshies, and were happy to assist them with their concerns. d. Points for improvement: Request that AS 101 release a list of the freshies beforehand to be able to give to the advisers Confirm the time that the advisers will arrive (to avoid having freshies wait in the hot hallways of FC)
