Royal Crown Judge STEINAR ERIKSEN
Steinar Eriksen's kennel prefix, OLIBILU, is derived from the names of his first three purebreds: OLIivia, a French Bulldog,
BItten, a Boxer, and LUcas, a bearded collie. Eriksen is the president of the Norwegian Bulldog Club, a position he has held
since 2004, and also a member of the Swedish and Danish French Bulldog clubs and the French Bull Dog Club of America.
When not enjoying his two favorite pastimes, traveling and showing dogs, Eriksen works as an
Engineering Manager with FMC Technologies, a Houston-based corporation with offices in Norway.
In addition to his home-bred French Bulldogs, Ericksen had the pleasure of owning Ch. Parisien
Ylusions Sylvester bred by Vera Strandell which he showed Sylvester to his International, Nordic,
Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and Danish championship titles. Sylvester, three-time winner of the
annual Nordic Winner Show and the Swedish Winner, sired five litters which resulted in 17 puppies,
12 of which became champions. Ericksen also showed Sylvester to the title of Norway’s Stud Dog of
the Year in All Breeds in 2005.
Eriksen exclaimed, “For me, breeding quality stock is a necessity for exhibition. I acquired my
first Frenchie ten years ago, a pied bitch, Ch. Bobule’s Miss Olivia. I finished her as an International,
Nordic, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish Champion. I have bred four French Bulldogs litters with a
total of 19 puppies, out of which 11 have become champions. The breed has brought me many friends in all corners of the
world as well as some wonderful experiences. I was selected as judge at the first Top Twenty Invitational in Dallas 2004,
and now judging the 2009 French Bulldog Royal Crown in Indianapolis. I am honored to be invited and look forward to
meeting your beautiful dogs.”
