Experience this eight-mile long, off-road mountain biking trail that reaches heights of 12 feet and is open to the public daily for a $1 fee. Eleven-year-old Braedon of Mount Pleasant won last years display design contest with a sketch that depicts workers actually building a light display of the south Carolina flag. Braedon is eager for everyone to see his creation come to life this season. I hope you had a great summer! I sure did. I swam, ran, and played with my buddies at the county dog parks, and got to do a lot of other exciting things with my family, too. I am so grateful that I can do all this stuff again. Last summer, after I was hit by a car, I couldnt even stand up by myself! July 26 was actually the one-year anniversary my accident, and I am so thankful to be doing well and enjoying life today. There are many fun things coming up at James Island County Park! Exercise with your pooch at Get Fit With Fido on October 6, October 20, and november 3. relax and enjoy live music at Yappy Hour on October 11.
