Prior experience with C/C++ or Java, framework/API design, data structures and file formats, and Linux/Unix environments. iv) Capable of understanding high-level scientific goals and translating them into concrete computational approaches. v) PhD in the life sciences, or equivalent experience in the field with a BS or MS in computer science OR a PhD in a quantitative field (CS, EE, physics, mathematics, etc) plus considerable software development and bioinformatics experience.
