Overview
The purpose of this information session is to highlight the Spring 2013 offerings for 2nd year and continuing PASA students, review potential elective offerings, and gauge students interest in electives for Spring 2013. The goal for this session is for students to become better informed of each electives course description and for the Masters Programs Office to gain a better understanding of the numbers of students in each potential elective for Spring 2013.

Spring 2013 Offerings

While we intend to offer all four classes below, we also need to adhere to Rossier policy, which states that we need at least 10 students in a section to offer a class. EDHP 679 Legal Issues in the Administration of Higher Education
Required for all 1st year PASA students (FT & PT) Will likely offer 3 sections

EDHP 565 Intervention Strategies in College

Already heard from 12 PT students who intend to enroll in this class. Will offer 1 section pending confirmation of at least 10 students.

EDHP 580 The Community College

Potentially 5 students are interested in this class due to Fall 2012 canceled course. Will offer 1 section due to course being a requirement for Educational Counseling Program and will likely have space for PASA students interested in the course.

EDUC 547 Career Development

Already heard from 8 PT students who intend to enroll in this class, but class is also required for the Educational Counseling Program. Sections will be combined. Will offer 1 section due to course being a requirement for the Educational Counseling Program and will likely have space for PASA students interested in the course.

Potential Spring 2013 Offerings

Due to low interest in these classes, we have not added these classes to the Spring 2013 schedule; however, should interest increase to at least 10 students per section, we can definitely add an elective to the Schedule of Classes.

EDUC 500 Counseling Process

Have only heard from 5 potential students who may enroll in this class.

EDHP 503 Curriculum, Teaching and Learning

Have only heard from 4 potential students who may enroll in this class.
