Grades Ill be entering grades into Power School this weekend.. Grades will change A LOT as
new grades are averaged in, so please dont be concerned about grades yet. The first grade check will
come home in a couple weeks.

Save the Date for Grandparents Day -September 17-Grandparents and Grandfriends are
very special in childrens lives so heres a day just for them! Children feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when they know that people in their extended family and community are interested in their education. This day recognizes the importance of our heritage, our community and relationships across generations. Visit the school, find out what students are learning, and celebrate with us!

SRI Your child took a standardized SRI test in reading this week. The expected lexile range for 4th
grade is 600-900. The range for 5th grade is 700-1000. Your child scored _______. If this is below the expected 4th grade range, please make sure your child is reading ALOUD at home for 20 minutes, 4-5 times a week. This is expected of all students, but its especially important if your child is not reading on grade level. Its also important your child is reading books he/she can read. If your child cant pronounce five words on a page, the book is too hard for him/her and he/she needs an easier book.
